I had Daley at no.5 before that fight with Diaz so that was a huge win for Diaz to me. He showed that he can compete with top ten competition. It was a good match-up for his style but beating a guy in the top 5-10 is a huge win no matter what kind of match-up it is. Diaz beat him at his own game and Daley is no doubt one of the best strikers in the WW division. Big win for Nick and he is making a case for a unifying fight with GSP with another win or two, maybe just one considering there isn't much for GSP in the UFC right now.

First off, I'm a Diaz fan so there may be a little bias, but I had him at #3 before the fight, behind GSP and Shields, and I'm leaving him there.  I think that he is a more complete fighter than Fitch or Kos and see his biggest competition being the two previously mentioned guys and a motivated Penn.  I see Diaz topping any other fighter at WW.

I haven't updated my rankings yet, so Daley will likely drop off, and I think I've got Hughes too high.

hes moved up several spots in my top 10. He proved he very may well be the most well rounded fighter in the game right now. He not only beat arguably one of the best strikers in the welterweight division, he beat him at his own game. Even after sustaining the most devastating left hook the the sport, impressive.

Maybe I'm the outlier but I only nudged him up 1 spot to 6.  He's turned into a big star but hasn't been fighting the best competition, plain and simple.

I personally can't understand anyone having Diaz ranked in the top 5 he has 1 top 10 win possibly in his whole career.

Not sure I'm gonna move Diaz from #7...Don't think he could beat anyone I have ranked above him, but would be some exciting fights!

Gregory is right... and now we'll get to see him face better competition.  Anyone read that article where Diego Sanchez called Diaz out and requested to coach TUF opposite of Diaz?  That combo of coaches would def fix the ratings issues!

I wont change  Nick's rank after this fight. Granted, a win over daley weighs heavier than a win over Cyborg, after which i didn't bump him up neither. Yeah, Diaz has improved his game since his losses in the ufc to the likes of parisyan and d. sanchez and i would most likely favour him against these two, but at the same time i dont see him winning against my ranks 1-5. Diaz v Penn would be a very very intriguing match to see imo.

Anyway, as a long-term, mild diaz fan i've always ranked diaz comparatively high and i was really stoked to see him send Daley to the canvas the way he did; standing inside Daley's pocket, provoking the sh*te out of semtex. Overall, that strikeforce card was great.

ive been saying this for a LONG time...but the BEST challenge at 170 to gsp is diaz...he has ALL the tools, cesar gracie bjj, granite chin, the anti gray maynerd style....LOVE THIS GUY! i have him, obviously, at number 2...if he has one "weakness", he gives up takedowns...usually losing rounds to wrestlers...at least he used to anyway...been a while since he faced a wrestler..... think about it though...if ur gsp, wat do u do? stand with diaz? hahahah!..or take him down and play the submission game with diaz? better odds for gsp, but still not great...NEED THIS FIGHT! show me another man who would DROP HIS F'N HANDS to paul daley!! and then beat him standing....amazing fighter,

Having him at number two is a joke. He beat Paul Daley, he is good but all he does is throw bombs.

I would take Fitch, Shields, and obviously GSP over this guy hands down.
