I havn't updated my list in a while but once I do, I'll have Hendricks at #6 and Fitch at #8.  The only people right now who I could see beating Hendricks are Kos, Ellenberger, and GSP.

@mortis he barely beat Pierce and to be honest I thought Pierce won. Hendricks did knock out Fitch but Fitch has been number 2 for a very long time and I don't think he deserves to be dropped too much and I really don't think Hendricks is top 5.

when I update mine, Fitch is dropping to 5 and I'll probably put Hendricks around 8.

I do, you don't even have Hendricks in your top 10 and Fitch is still number two.  Sanchez is way too high, other than that is ok.

I haven't updated my rankings yet, but I have noticed that hardly anyone has BJ in their top 10.  For those of you who don't, is he still in you LW rankings?

BJ is still in my top10 for now, beating out guys like Sanchez.

I don't have BJ because he said he retired. When he comes back, I'll throw him back in the rankings.

BJ retired or at least claimed to if he wasn't I would have him about 7 or 8. All the time people kept saying GSP had cleared out the division and there were no more challengers, in this last year 4 new contenders have popped up in Diaz, Condit, Hendricks, and Ellenberger.

This is ridiculous.  For this house to rank Johny Hendricks in their Top 10 based on one fight is absurd.
Before this fight, he beat Charlie Brenneman and Mike Pierce, neither in the top 20.

You're ranking him ahead of Sanchez, Koscheck, Kampmann, Shields, Rumble, etc.???
One a single fight?????  Where is the depth, perspective, context, wisdom?

Did everyone rank Matt Serra #1 when he knocked out GSP?

I agree that some people are going a bit overboard with where they're ranking him at.  And don't get me wrong, I'm a HUGE Hendricks fan.  However, he did beat a fighter that some considered a P4P top 10, so he deserves to get a pretty big bump.

Going from unranked to Top 15 is a HUGE bump.  Top 10 is insulting to those who've labored long and hard and honestly for a lot longer.  Completely unfair and disrespectful to Sanchez, Kampmann, Rumble, Alves, etc.

It will be interesting to see sherdog's new ranking when they come out. They love jumping people high into their top ten. I remember they ranked Brenneman at 7 after his win over Story.

no, but you lose your ranking on inactivity. 1 year of inactivity is april 30th 2012. he won't fight again until the earliest fall of 2012 and i would not b surprised if he asked for a tune up match before he faced eith diaz or condit. i rather see a four fighter tourney like they are doing with the flyweights. diaz vs condit vs the winner of ellenberger/hendricks. winner gets the real WW title. lesnar, velasquez and fitch all had long layoffs and surgeries and all got beaten badly. i'm sure gsp sees the writing on the wall.
