Wishful Thinking

Bold Prediction: Etim will be in the LW top 5 picture after he finishes 2012 undefeated with victories over Guillard, Miller and Cerrone!

no sry guida never beat melendez in an mma fight what are u talking about, anyways u said it, it was in 07 but his last 5 fights were all good wins, of course not against top guys but u can make the same argument with eddie alvarez who is nr.5 on your list

Guida took the SF LW title from Josh Thomson before Melendez beat Guida for it. Then Gil lost to and beat Josh.

Is everyone forgetting that Melendez beat Kawajiri twice who was at least top 15 and many had him in the top 10. The second fight was domination by Melendez.

Im more surprised at how many people dont have Sherk in their top 10. His only losses are to champions and hes beat Dunham, Griffin (when he was relevant and top 10), Franca (for title), and Florian (for title). His losses are Penn and Edgar

Well it's because his last real win was against Tyson Griffin ( who isn't even in the same weight division anymore) back in 2008. I really don't think Sherk has the skills to be in the top 10 anymore

I don't have Sherk in my top 10 because he doesn't compete often enough. If he weren't injury prone as of late, and he'd go back to his old school gameplan of taking guys down at will rather than standing with them i believe he could be top 5 again, but never champion....

Can someone that has Alvarez in there top 5 do their best to explain to me why? I just don't see it. He's fought no competition, and looked lackluster against a FW in Curran. He looks good fighting mediocre competition, I just don't see any justification for that high of a ranking. Why don't all of you have Lombard top 3 MW then, his resume is better than Eddie's.
