I've found it incredibly strange that Barao has been ranked so low on the rankings here. Is he just not liked? He's looked impressive in his recent UFC outings, beating Pickett in a crazy-paced fight and easily shutting down Scott Jorgensen's entire game. But for some odd reason, he's currently placed at #6 in the Tapology consensus rankings, UNDER Scott Jorgensen (#5).
Any reason behind this other than people being unaware of Barao's sound beating of Jorgensen?

Well, the consensus rankings are based on the last 100 people to update that ranking so I suppose most people jsut don't update it as much.

Well, he has already proven himself over Jorgensen so no argument there. Problem is he is a little new to the upper levels of competition I think as was Jose Aldo. I wouldn't be surprised to see him at the top of 135 soon. I'm very interested in seeing him against Faber and Cruz. I think he will match up nicely against either.

Ur right but remember rankings are subjective. Here's mine but the only locks should be Cruz & Faber. A case could be made for Barao, Bowles, or even Torres (due to Bowles inactivity since their fight) to be #3 and Jorgensen could be argued for as high as #4 but since their fight was the most recent and Barao clearly won it, to put Jorgensen ahead of Barao reeks of fandom devoid of logic.
