You're right.  Asken deserves a much higher ranking.  I hadn't gotten around to him.  But 5th is unjustified.  You are the highest ranking of him in the house.  Where's your justification?

Askren might very well be a top 10 WW but how can you rank him there? He never faced a top 10 guy. His highest ranked opponent was Jay Hieron who was what, top 20 at the time?

Hieron is also the only guy on Askren's record with wrestling, and sure enough Askren had his problems in that fight...

Oh CT.  I haven't noticed such intemperate remarks from you before.  "Take down the entire UFC 170 division and keep them down until his love taps stop the fight?"

My, my, my.  You are in a brave mood this morning.  Most courageous of you.  I hope you don't put serious money behind your bravura.  The UFC WW Shark Tank is not lacking in good wrestlers.  Taking someone down and keeping them there is not the same thing.  

I must beg to differ with you in every detail.  Have you learned nothing about highly-touted outsiders coming to the UFC and encountering difficulties?  Shields, Lombard come to mind right away.  

I think everyone in your Top 10 would beat Askren without much trouble.  Same thing with troll Lopati's Top 10.

I may well be doing an injustice and disservice to Ben Askren.  Maybe he would do quite well in the UFC if he were ever to come here.  But until I see him beat UFC-quality competition, I will bet on the UFC guys, when in doubt.   His competition just isn't on the same level.  And that is very important.  Especially for ranking purposes.

@CT Shields should be above Askren, that's for damn sure...

I'm not judgmental at all brah, you can rank your list like however you want but if you compare Burkman's last 3 wins to Askren's you might notice something...
