A UFC HOF ranking that you can update regularly based on who has been inducted and who has moved up into retirement age.  This ranking is for fighters you believe are worthy of consideration to be inducted into the UFC HOF.  This list will change often, so it is a ranking we can update regularly based on our own opinions of who is most deserving.  Here is my list:

from the looks of it he is going by fighters that are retired or close to the end of their careers

Exactly @Poir... I don't consider Anderson in the twilight of his career quite yet @Jaffa.  That is why I like this HOF ranking better.  We can constantly change/update this ranking as time and careers move forward.  Don't you all agree that Evan should be in the UFC HOF?

I wonder if they will ever have a real HOF that isn't just a page on UFC.com.

I included guys like Anderson, BJ, GSP, and Rampage, despite not being in the "twilight" of their careers.  I think they've done enough that they're shoe ins at this point regardless of what else happens in their careers.

That is fair @analias.. they are your rankings and Rampage me be getting closer than we think.  I didn't think about him.

The HOF is the most prestigious thing an athlete can receive. You can't just put anyone in there. The UFC has been around since 93. The list should be SUPER SMALL. James Toney was right about one thing. The UFC HOF is underdeveloped. This is the UFC HOF, not the MMA HOF. Many of the guys you listed may make the MMA HOF, but not the UFC HOF.

Bas Rutten fought twice in the UFC -  not HOF. (didnt defend the belt)

Jens Pulver 5-3-1 in the UFC and 1-5 in the WEC -  not HOF (defended the belt twice but you can't let a guy who is 6-8-1 under zuffa in the HOF)

Evan Tanner (yes, very sad)  11-6 in UFC - not HOF (didnt defend the belt)

Brock Lesnar 4-3 in the UFC - not HOF

Rich Franklin 13-5 in the UFC. He won the belt and defended it twice, but he hasnt been consistant since 2006. Not HOF for me.

Wanderlei Silva 4-6 in the UFC. Hasn't won a belt.

Chris Lytle 10-9 in the UFC. Never fought for a belt.

Yes some of these guys could make the MMA HOF. NOT THE UFC.

I mean Daniel Alfredsson in the NHL has played over 1000 games, has over 1000 points, won a gold medal in the olympics, and has been the the cup finals.. and he is an IF to get into the HOF.

Just because a guy was the first champ or did one thing big, doesnt mean he should be a shoe in, or even considered. To be considered to the HOF you have to be CONSISTANT. You have to do things throughout your career.

Nik Lust....While I think you do make some good points, I think if someone wins the belt, and defends it more than once, that should be enough to get in the HOF, despite being less consistent later in their careers.

This is my opinion of course, but not only that @AnAlias, I has more to do with just your record.  How have you elevated the UFC as a brand and MMA through the UFC as a sport.  Being in any HOF as much, much more to do with just your win/loss record, in my opinion.

@Nik Lust makes some good points as good as Bas was with only 2 fights in the UFC it would be hard for me to want him in the UFC HoF. I think for anyone to be considered they should have at least 5 or 6 fights in the UFC.

@Kalibo good point too with the records, like Chris Lytle I'd like to see in the hall of fame, yes he never had a title fight and his record was about .500 in the UFC but look at the fights he had, some of them were awesome.

Here are some "journalist" impressions on our opinions/debates on "who" exactly deserves:

http://www.mmatorch.com/artman2/publish/roundtables/article_12048.shtml

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/973857-bj-penn-and-5-fighters-that-should-be-inducted-into-the-ufc-hall-of-fame

Interesting to read opinions on why just a record alone should not dis-include a deserving fighter.

Anyone read those two link I gave.. it may give you a different perspective or at least a little more understanding on why certain members may rank certain fighters on this list.

I will add more later. Only reason Forrest makes the list is because of his role in the growth of the UFC

the one thing i'm fining wrong with the UFC HOF is that people and media are using it as a popularity contest.
to agree with @Nik Lust i'll use Bas ruttan as an example as well.  great fighter, well loved (i'm a big fan too) but only 2 fights is not deserving.  he has done a lot for the sport and so i say he's more suited for an MMA HOF .  as would tanner, or pulver.    to me that would be like saying that fedor should be inducted in to the UFC HOF

oh and @kalibo's links.  thanks it was a good read but pleaseeeeeee tell me brock won't get inducted he is totally undeserving

and tank abott should be in there.  doesn't have the best record but he's a huge reason people started watching UFC in the first place.  it was starting to get boring with 30 minute + matches that would end up in draws until he came along and showed that you can also KO someone to win a fight.  i don't like that if Dana doesn't like you you don't get in.

Randy is already in the UFC HoF which is why no one has him on their lists
