Missing a coupled ****s there @cthulu, My transcript would run more like, "Look, Jon do you ******* want to be a ******* ultimate fighter, well you can't ******* do that **** kid, when you commit a ******* hit and run and hit a ******* pregnant chick and have ******* pot on you, don't be ******* stupid Jon. You're a great fighter, but you're becoming a ******* Mazzagatti in your personal life. Wise the **** up ******* kid, don't be a ******* dummy."

I'm with @cthulhu. Jones did this to himself by living too risky of a lifestyle. This was going to bite him back in the ass sooner or later. Hopefully this is his wake up call so he can begin to act right, or else he will be really ******.

**** him? YEah ok. I get that. I don't like him either. But what about the sport? What about actually knowing who is the best in the world? What about knowing who is the best at this sport of all time? This would have been his 9th title defense if i'm not mistaken, and the record is ten.
This makes every conversation about who was better him or Silva or anyone else in that discussion murky and unresolved. **** him for what he did to all of us, yes, he's a bad person certainly, but how can you be glad that the current number 1 fighter on the planet is suspended indefinitely?
I swear it's like you didn't even read what I said.

I'm slightly ambivalent, in the sense that it's sad to see someone with so much potential self-destruct. A larger part of me sees this as a good thing, though. It took a while, but now the message from the UFC is clear: We won't tolerate this kind of ******** from our fighters. If we will take the title from Jones and suspend him, we damn sure won't put up with criminal behavior from anyone else on the roster. Since it's a suspension and not an outright ban, there remains a chance for Jones to redeem himself in the future.

Legal analyst on UFC Tonight says Jones' lawyer will probably try for a plea bargain, given that there are so many witnesses and other evidence. With Jones' prior record, analyst guesses they will go for 3 years and plea bargain down to 1 to 1 1/2 years.
Of course, that is pulled out of thin air, but gives an idea how serious it could be.

You step away from watching MMA for a bit and try to enjoy the NBA playoffs and this **** happens. Guess that answers the question "Hey, what did I miss?"

The lawyer didn't specify. The legal analyst seemed to think they're taking this very seriously, so just the impression I got was that at least part would probably be jail time.
Of course, that's just my speculation on his speculation...

@psychicdeath Wow. I hate to say it; but if this leads to Jones going to jail, he may have just committed career suicide.

I had zero interest in seeing him eye poke and oblique kick Rumble. DC and Rumble will be a better fight.

there's no doubt that the UFC will bring him back when the time is right add they'll give him a chance to get his title back, but right now I'm very happy they made the right call, this was the best decision the UFC could have taken for them and for Jones, he needs to learn his lesson and get his **** together.

Jon needs to be humbled in the cage to truly get his **** together, because of his messiah complex. He hasn't changed after any of the stupid **** he's done and he probably won't ever. I suppose the PC move of stripping Jon of the title was the right move to make.
Even though I don't like it, I can get behind the idea of stripping the title when he didn't lose it in a fight. I guess, they can't reward him with a fight and paycheck when he faces jail time
..but, a big part of me still wants to see Rumble knock his ass out as an early punishment.

Bader should fight Evans or Gustafsson. If Gus steps up, put in Evans vs. Glover. Doubtful though, because Evans fights once every 7 years.
