I also wouldn't have picked Rumble over him, as Jones has dominated every opponent he's fought (except for Gus and yeah, I know Rumble knocked him out), but still picking anyone over Jones at the moment would seem awkward and it's something that always comes up.
Gus is the only one so far who was close to beating him, so he doesn't benefit as much as the others, but he's still benefited as he could probably win a way around a second with Rumble for the title if Jones is stripped.
