It won't be easy, him being sponsored by Dethrone and all.

Josh Grispi could be an interesting fight, but I think he's slightly outclassed on the feet, and doesn't have top-level wrestling to put Aldo on his back.  Maybe Chad Mendes... because of the wrestling... but he's still pretty one-dimensional in MMA.

I dunno, we might be seeing the Aldo reign for a long time.

Nobody at featherweight.

At lightweight I can see a great wrestler with solid standup giving him trouble. ( Sherk maybe. )

I think Aldo is being overrated just a tad I think a lot of people at featherweight stand a chance.. I think Mendes, Florian, Tyson and Hominick in a rematch stand the best chance!

Aldo was sick last fight and you could see it. In a rematch against Hominick I think he wins much more decisively.

Yeah I think he would beat Hominick in rematch but I would pick the other 3 to beat him...

I'd like to see Florian fight him, he's getting on and doesn't have time to fart about.

If Frankie ever decides to go to FW, he would give anyone all kinds of fits.

I agree Frankie would kill at featherweight but he also kills at lightweight!

Frankie yes, but why ruin a good thing at LW. Besides he's going to beat Maynard this time. I don't think Florian is the best matchup for Aldo either, he'll be a little more cautious but i can see it looking a lot like Aldo/Faber. Right now i think Mendes has the right tools with his wrestling and cardio, beyond that..... Aldo is going to be the king for a while.

What i missed here is Joe Warren also has the wrestling credentials, but i don't see him leaving Bellator any time soon. The latest interesting signing for the UFC is Hioki, i'm interested to see how another Japanese star performs in the octagon.

I bet we see Frankie drop at some point within the next 2 years.  LW is too talented and he is not a P4P great imo.  Tyson... sorry Thiago... Aldo via 2nd round KO.

No no no no your wrong!!... Tyson wont be finished again! Gomi got lucky if hes going to lose it will be a close decision but I would pick Tyson to beat Aldo by a late stoppage!

Tyson = NO, i love watching him fight, and i think it'd be competitive, but i don't think he quite has all the tools to beat Aldo.

I haven't seen this thread before. What's with the inglourious basterds pic in the OP? I love that movie.

At this point I think Hioki and Mendes are the only ones with a shot. I'd take Aldo over Mendes everytime, but I think Hioki could threaten him.

I haven't seen a Hioki fight recently... I know he is awesome and have him ranked higher than most, but I wanna watch some of his recent work.

its true. thats likely the main reason why sandro would choose to fight in a different promotion.
