Sometimes I wish a decent MMA promotion like Bellator would step up and make a Masters division so some of these vets could compete in under modified rules like 3 minute rounds, no elbows, etc.

Someone should do this at least as a fund raiser for retired fighters or something, I know I'd pay good money to see some of these legends back in action.

Just think about Brock-Fedor, Crocop-Randleman 3, Saku-Gracie 2, Lytle-Penn, Frye-Severn, and many other awesome possibilities.

Not that a "Grandpa division" is a terrible idea, but I couldn't see some of these guys going for it.  It would be a blow to their pride to step down like that to easier rules and competition.  I know if I was a former champion, there's no way in hell I'd return to the sport to compete at the lowest level.
