Originally slated to fight Vitor Belfort at UFC 173, undefeated champion Chris Weidman is now slated to take on the veteran karate practitioner Lyoto Machida at UFC 175. Machida is 4-2 in his last six fights and it's difficult to guess how his fight will go against the less-experienced, but extremely well-rounded champion.

In a demonstration of force, Chris Weidman has taken legendary middleweight Anderson Silva out of his last two fights. First by knockout (punches) and then by checking a leg kick which broke Silva's left leg.

It will be interesting to see whether Machida can devise a game plan to beat the powerful Chris Weidman who has shown very few weaknesses in his last three fights. It's also worth watching to see if Machida attempts any leg kicks or if he skips that strike altogether.
