Rafael Cavalcante is a brazilian jiu jitsu black belt who fights at Light Heavyweight. He fought for the IFL and Elite XC and Strikeforce. His most notable win was when he defeated King Mo by TKO to win the Strikeforce Light Heavyweight title in 2010. He would try to defend the belt against Dan Henderson but would come up short losing by TKO in the 3rd round of the fight.

He would be suspended for 1 year and fined $2500 by the CSAC. The UFC decided to keep his contract and he would face Thiago Silva at UFC on FUEL TV 10. He would lose by knockout in the first round however he was awarded Fight of the Night honors for his effort.
