Oh lawd...

If ever there was an event tailor-made for the hardcore fan, this is it. Use it to convert friends, family and everything in between into MMA fanatics.

Prelims kick off on UFC Fight Pass at 6pm ET. Then, switch over to FOX Sports 2 (not FS1) for four more televised prelims at 8pm. Some random other sport BS is on FS1.

And then it'sssssssss TIIIIIMMMMMMEEEEEEEEE!

Ah there you are Skelli. Yet another great post. Wasn't "damage" how you won a fight according to Dana and Hendricks? Well look at Johny boy and look at Lawler. While I think Hendricks squeaked out a win with a TD I don't here anyone talking about "damage" anymore. Interesting.

And whether you hate GSP or not everyone knows deep down that Georges with a clear mind and a healthy body beats anyone at 170 past or present and probably future.

Well it's a good thing GSP had mental problems or whatever and decided to retire, because now we can have some fun ww title fights. I like pretty much all of the potential challengers. I'd say let Woodley or Lombard at it and take it from there, but plenty of other good challengers.

GSP did what everyone was asking him to ... he was asked to make welterweight title fights more exciting so he removed himself from them ;)

Perfect time for a Lawler/Diaz rematch ... Diaz is unretiring, both coming off losses in title fights ... I think 2014 Lawler would murder Diaz, but hey, don't tell me you wouldn't want to see it ... unless all those up votes I saw here on the picture of Diaz heckling Johny while he was still trying to make 170, dehydrated, maybe about to lose the opportunity of his lifetime, mean you guys would like to see him get an immediate shot at Johny (since that's clearly what he's trying to do).

Seriously, if that was any other fighter everyone would me "awww, ******* disrespectful, blah, blah, blah" but apparently when a Diaz does that **** it's so ******* cool, let's upvote the **** out of it ...

I wonder what Nick Diaz would do if someone did that to him ...

I think it depends on the fighter, yoss. We all know Diaz talks a lot of ****, but he isn't a mean guy. Say War Machine or Bryan Caraway said stuff like that. Then it would be disrespectful.

And I think Nick Diaz knows how to take a joke. When you have a brother who's exactly like you, like the Diaz's (my brother and I are like that too), you're gonna learn to take a joke because he's gonna be busting your balls too.

@amp112, I know he's not a mean guy, in fact in that "comeback" interview I posted I think that was the nicest and most eloquent Diaz I've ever heard and believe me when I tell you, even though they grind my gears every now and then, I get them and they've totally grown on me ...

I just think, for one, that is most definitely NOT the time to joke around with a fighter and he knows it. And secondly, please tell me that if let's say Jon Jones was doing that, all hell wouldn't break loose.

No harm done though, Johny said it best at the press conference, he's a wrestler, they've been cutting weight forever and are strong mentally so it didn't affect him one little bit.

I just think there needs to be some kind of red line where "oh well, you know, it's a Diaz thing" just doesn't cut it, and potentially ******* with other guy's careers should be where that red line is drawn. He doesn't know that it won't affect Johny does he? On the contrary, he wanted it to affect him because he was picking a fight knowing that he wants back and that's the fight he wants.

So pick a fight bro, but wait a sec, let the dude prepare properly for the fight of his life first and then start getting on his case, That just wasn't the time, imo.

Anyways, it was just an observation, not a "Diaz is a ********" post ... I like that dumbass :)

Oh I got what you mean. He can be a bonehead sometimes.

And yeah, Johny's a pro. I didn't think this would bother him in the least. And I much as I like Diaz, Hendricks would probably beat him soundly.  Diaz is on the same level as Chael Sonnen. When he talks ****, most people are like "oh there's Nick running his mouth again" followed by a chuckle.

And like the Jon Jones thing you brought up. That would kind of be a **** move, especially since he has history of being an *******. Especially after last week with that **** with Tyson Griffin.

Actually, I think that might be the line you are talking about. Diaz never berates fighters or makes em feel like ****. Diaz would never tell another fighter "you're lucky I'm talking to you". Yelling at Hendricks at the weigh ins was getting close to that line though. But I don't think he crossed it. Especially since Hendricks didn't give a ****.

And honestly, I think Diaz is starting to open his mouth again because GSP is no longer  the champ and he sees a new opportunity.

I don´t know who is or should be next to fight Hendricks, but what i do know is that Hector Lombard, Dong Hyun Kim, and Gunnar Nelson have all emerged as very dangerous and talented in this division. And that the fight between Condit and Woodley was incunclusive, which means neither should be the number 1 contender, but either of them could be after one more fight. Also, Nick Diaz.

what about that woodley/condit fight was inconclusive?

Condit got steamrolled bro, end of story. He lost every second of that fight up until the inury and nothing was changing. That injury happened, on a takedown, which he is incapable of stopping all night, and was not gonna magically fix in 5 minutes.

That fight was very conclusive, CONDIT IS NOT A TOP 5 FIGHTER.

@brazilian jitz

cause I am not gonna make excuses for a fighter who lost a very one sided fight by injury and is on a 1-3 stretch arguably 1-4 considering the diaz fight?

Condit is clearly not a top 5 fighter, if he was he would not be losing every fight he has vs top 5 talent

While I disagree with Condit not being a top 5 fighter I agree that the fight was conclusive. Yes the ending sucked and was unfortunate but Woodley dominated the fight from start to finish and there were no signs of that changing. When Condit did finally start to get something going Woodley took him down with ease. It's the same with Weidman/Silva II, unfortunate ending but it was clear who the better fighter was.

im not saying condit isnt on the cusp of top 5, but I cant justify a guy who is on a 1-3, arguably 1-4 stretch as a top 5 fighter. Name me one other fighter who has lost 3 out of 4 fights and still been ranked top 5

lol I love it, im an idiot cause I dont make excuses as to why  a guy getting his ass beat handily is gonna magically win a fight, and I dont rank a guy 1-3 in his last 4 as top 5.

Doing either of those things is the definition of idiot.

I see condits nutsack has a lot of **** hanging off of it. Till one of you ******s can justify a guy on a 1-3 stretch with his only win being against a fighter not ranked in the top 10, as being a top 5 fighter, just ****,
