Oh lawd...

If ever there was an event tailor-made for the hardcore fan, this is it. Use it to convert friends, family and everything in between into MMA fanatics.

Prelims kick off on UFC Fight Pass at 6pm ET. Then, switch over to FOX Sports 2 (not FS1) for four more televised prelims at 8pm. Some random other sport BS is on FS1.

And then it'sssssssss TIIIIIMMMMMMEEEEEEEEE!

the last round was not even close to the most even round of the fight and if any round should have been 10-8, it should have been 4(? or whichever round hendricks was out on his feet). atleast the scores evened out I guess. 20$ says that he is a boxing judge.

Rory's potential and his skills warrant a title shot but his resume really doesn't. I say give it to Lombard.. He has beaten two former title contenders in his last two fights and pretty much left no questions while doing so. He knocked Nate into a parallel universe and had his way with Jake until he got tired from pummeling him.

Rory was impressive against Maia excluding the first round where he had absolutely nothing for Demian and his performance against Jake well....yeah...

Match him up against Tyron and see what happens. How he handles an extremely hard hitting and very powerful wrestler will be a good gauge as to where he's at right now in regards to fighting Johny/Lombard.

Give Woodley to Rory? Let's see last time Rory fought a good wrestler with big power was Ellenberger and we saw how that went. It wasn't the most fun to watch for a lot of people but it was a clinic by Rory who totally outclassed him. Same thing would happen to T-Wood. Rory vs Lombard is intriguing but I think Rory just coasts through the 1st while Lombard gasses and Rory takes the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

Really don't think Rory deserves the shot, T-Wood or Hector are on better streaks and more deserving IMHO. Of those two I'd pick Woodley, I think a Lombard Rory match up could be interesting. With how easily Lombard tossed Shields, he might be able to do that to Rory but Rory could out jab Hector or it could be a crazy slugfest, my personal choice.

@p4p It's a different fight. Woodley has a better top game and offensive wrestling overall due to that being his go to style for the majority of his career. He's also more athletic and covers distance much quicker. His cardio is the big factor but so be it...

Also, Ellenberger was just as much a part of losing against Rory that Rory was imo. He didn't go after Rory, he just plodded forward hoping to catch him with something like he usually does. GSP's jab-athon vs Koscheck wasn't anymore entertaining but he completely broke Kos with those jabs.

If you understand distance you can beat T-Wood. His big right hand is quick and powerful but he let's you know before he's going to throw it. I just think it would be a fairly easy fight for Rory or Hendricks or Lawler. Guys that have cardio issues aren't going to win title fights, plain and simple. Maybe let T-Wood and Lombard fight it out for worse cardio.

I know practically nobody likes Rory for the way he dresses or the way he fights sometimes but right now I think other then Lawler Rory gives Hendricks the toughest fight.

I think Woodley vs Rory would be a great fight. I don't think Woodley is ready for a title shot just yet. Probably 1 win away. So either Lombard or Rory for his next fight. Because all 3 are in the same scenario more or less.

That's your hope @diel. Time will tell. I know if Rory lost to Hendricks it wouldn't be cardio related. The other 2 guys it would play a huge role in a fight with Hendricks.

Woodley vs Robbie for number one contender is what is fair.

Rory for immediate title shot is what will happen.

Oh, and by the way, Johny Hendricks will murder him. Rory doesn't have the mind of a champion, at least not yet. He  could only beat Maia after Maia was terribly gassed and that butterfly guard that he attempted and that allowed Maia to mount him reeked of desperation.

Great great main event. Such passion was in that fight. One of my favorites. It was a good scrap that had nothing but action. To be honest, I could have seen it as a split decision. But I agree, who ever won that last round would win the fight. Those leg kicks mattered after all. But, I could have seen Lawler take a decision cause the first 2 rounds were close (not no 10-8 ********) and to a certain eye it could have went to Robbie. But I am not Unhappy with the result. The 5th round mattered most. They picked the perfect 2 people to fight for the belt. And even though Lawler lost, there were no true losers in this fight. I would love to see it happen again.

and now for a controversial statement, I think both Hendricks or Lawler could have beat GSP that night if either of them fought him. Just my feeling on the situation.

and sucks for Condit, cause he was starting to get work in. I hope nothing is too bad. But I think this should not get Woodley into title shot off of a fluke of an injury like that. I was sad for Condit. I hope to see him back with a vengeance.

Woodley vs Lombard would be nice. to big ass people going at it. would be neat to see.

I hope that Bigg Rigg will have a good reign as champion and may he defend it with passion and excitement. And I also hope that Robbie will be back with his traditional tendencies.

GSP would have his way with Lawler.

I think Hendricks will always be a tough fight for him, though.

I'm in the minority, but I think the GSP/Hendricks fight was GSP off his game mentally and physically while Hendricks was on his. I thought Hendricks "won the fight," but scored it 48-47 GSP. Won't argue with a score for Hendricks.

But anyway, I just think peak GSP slaughters peak Lawler and beats peak Hendricks more clearly than their actual fight was.

With all that said, I'm not dumping on Lawler. I love his turnaround and I stick by my score tonight of 48-47 Lawler. If Hendricks hadn't put that beating on him at the end, I'd have called it a robbery. As it stands, it was a close fight that I disagree with. Lawler did more damage overall, but Hendricks may have come closer to a finish in that brief fifth-round exchange. Anyways, I think Lawler just matches up poorly with GSP.
