In Forrest's favor, who has Davis ever beaten that stacks up to Shogun or Rampage, whom Forrest has beaten?
In Phil Davis' favor, didn't he outperform Forrest against Rashad?

This card is stacked, I hope Forest keeps it interesting. He just hasn't looked right as of late & Phil is a beast from top.

Forrest has the experience, has faced the better stable of fighters, and the more versatile striking. Davis has the youth, size, strength, and a great wrestling pedigree with good submission skills. The question here is, who has the better heart, toughness, and will to win? Both fighters have lost to Rashad Evans, and though Forrest was KO'd by Rashad, Forrest was holding his own very well until Rashad got him down, and pounded out the TKO. Davis was dominated for 5 rounds everywhere the fight took place, so did Davis really perform better agaisnt Rashad than Forrest? This is a very tough fight to pick because Davis is now starting to come into his prime, while it seems that Forrest is entering into the twilight of his career.
At this point it seems that Davis is the favorite on paper, but one thing has to be remembered..........Forrest's wins over Shogun and Rampage are proof that you can't count Forrest out of any fight, no matter who his opponent is. It's really a winnable fight for either fighter. It just depends on who really wants it more, who has the better gameplan, and can execute.

Why would Phil fight someone ranked like 20 slots lower that him?
I agree with the Nog/Griffin.

I'm gonna go look at their accomplishments even though I think I know them.
Okay just looked through them.I still stand by what I said.Accomplishments outside of MMA don't really matter once you get to the big show in terms of title shots and rankings,You still have to work your way up.Phil has fought far superior competition and done better against that competition. Also according to Fight Matrix,Phil is ranked twenty spots higher than Vinny. So again I ask why would he fight someone ranked twenty spots lower than him? With wins you are supposed to fight people higher in the rankings. For him that means people inside the top 10.A win over Vinny would do nothing for Phil except maybe (depending on how the fight goes) validate his submission defense.
@ProdigyKid While it is a step up from Prado,Phil should be fighting guys inside the top 10.Like he is with Forrest.
