I hate to see how some of these guys get no credit whatsoever, so I made this ranking. Bustamante was the first guy to come to mind, one of the first legit NHB fighters, ever, and he still managed to evolve and stay relevant in the sport for a long, long time. Former UFC champion, Pride tournament finalist (in a final where he arguably won, against Dan Henderson) and one of the best grapplers the sport has seen. I'm sure there are a lot of other guys that deserve credit as well.

Everyone else is making these (awesome) new rankings, thought I'd get in on the fun. Make your list, then tell me the ranking you made and since you were nice to me I'll return the favor.

I'm going to save this ranking for later because I'm currently experiencing ranking overload.  Bustamante is a great pick though.

@analias, thanks, Busta's legacy is super underrated. Please make a list at some point!

@NikLust, Igor's a great pick. I'm going to put him on my list when I make a top 10.

@analias, great list. I'm definitely going to put Shoji on mine. Goodridge, Herring and Miletich are great ones as well. Then Bohlander never even crossed my mind which shows how under rated he is.

@ben, make a list!

Damn this is a hard list to make. This is mine so far... I'll just have to add more when I think of them, but since they're under rated they're hard to think of.

Honestly and truly, even after tonight, I would put Keith Jardine up there. People forget that he beat the piss out of Chuck when he was still considered one of the best LHW's and on his way back to the belt, and he barely lost a decision to Rampage - a last minute drop saved him.

@Blindead Many holes in your claim for Keith Jardine.

He didn't beat the piss out of Liddell, he won the fight for sure, but too say he beat the piss out of him is an exaggeration.

''and on his way back to the belt.''

huh!? What do you mean on, his way back to the belt? He just got brutally KO'd by Rampage, and his fight with Jardine followed right after. I think he would have to have won a fight after the rampage fight to have been on his way back.

in the last few year he has gone 4-9-1 with some bad knockouts in there. Wouldn't say he is underrated but inconsistent.

Volkmann is a good one. Not sure if I'd put Jardine on there personally, but make a list so he's on the consensus. As is Palhares. Adding both Palhares and Volkmann to mine now.

Thank you minotauro11, Marco Ruas doesn't get nearly enough credit as he should. The guy pioneered the use of leg kicks in MMA.
