Predictions: 7 of 10 Winners, 2 Perfect, 425 Points   |   Tied for 244th

Tonight's the night! Bones Jones and Rampage Jackson will put all the talking aside and see who can actually deliver inside the Octagon.  And as is usual these days for the UFC, you can catch ALL the fights on the card live.  Things are scheduled to kick off first at 6:40pm eastern time for the first 4 prelims on Facebook.com/UFC.  Then at 8:00pm eastern time, make your way over to SpikeTV for two televised prelims.  Finally at 9:00pm eastern time is the main card starting on pay per view.

Your prediction results and leaderboard ranking will automatically show up in any posts made here. If you want to embed your full listing of picks you can do that also.   The top of the leaderboard will be available in the right column on this thread.

Enjoy the fights and good luck in your predictions!

When you say this:

Jones will lose within his next couple fights, I'm sure of this. He hasn't looked as dominant as say, Lesnar and look how far he has fallen.

It comes off a little crazy.

Did poorly on picking perfects, but this is easily the best UFC card I've had in a while.

@benjamin Anderson Silva's reach is 77.5, ... 7 inches shorter than Jones.

Getting caught doesn't make a case for still being decent.  He LOST the first decision to Shogun, and he got KO'd by him the second time.  He hasn't fought a top 10 LHW since Rampage.  He knocked out Rashad when he was a ****y up and comer.

Great fight! Missed my perfect but thats cool. Jones is just so unpredictable, I thought he would take Rampage down more for some ground and pound and just wear him out. Guess he wanted to prove that he could beat Rampage at his own game. You gotta love Rampage he might talk a lot of trash but he just speaks his mind, and the dude is just funny as hell. Rashad better watch out, Jones says he is done talking trash and is ready to get it on. If Jones can beat guys that are just put in front of him like he does, what is he gonna do against a guy that he does'nt like?

Rashad was the 205 pound champion when Machida knocked him out, hardly a "****y up and comer"

I don't see the point in this thread of talking down Machida's or Rashad's prior accomplishments.  They're both top 205ers.

He was taunting Machida when he was getting tagged.  He taunted Forrest in the TITLE fight.  Up and comer was the wrong phrase.  ****y champion is more accurate.

It's fighting. Tons of fighters taunt and do things in the cage when it's fight time.

@gregory, Lesnar destroyed Frank Mir, Couture and Herring extremely one sidedly, and almost everyone (outside of a few of us) said he'd be champion for years, then Carwin comes along.
Jones' win over Rampage was one sided, but it wasn't a beatdown, he didn't exactly do a lot outside of land leg kicks then find the choke.

When I actually think about it he has been more dominant than Lesnar, but he has holes in his game.

Now, is it so crazy to say I don't think he'd win his next 3 fights against top 5 light heavyweights? I wouldn't take anyone against all three of those guys in a row, they're all too good, and they all have the skillsets to beat everyone.

Jones beat Rampage, bottom line.  Great win for him, can't wait for the next event.  Had a great time discussing the fights with everyone.  I never bought in to the Brock Lesnar hype.  I knew Carwin and Cain would give him trouble.

I went 7/10 with 3 perfect. Some truths that came out tonight..............1. Jon "Bones" Jones is for real. 2. Never pick against a Diaz. 3. Matt Hughes was a great fighter and champion, but the sun may have set on his time.

@mino I don't agree on the lesnar argument, and as i've said many times before, i don't see any light heavyweight having more than a puncher's chance against jones.

but we don't need to agree

I went 9 for 10 with 3 perfects, was off by one round on the main event finish.  I can't wait to see what Tony Ferguson and Nick Diaz do in 2012 in the 155 division.
