how far does he drop in your rankings? how far does rockhold move up?

as for me, jacare fell just one spot to 4, and rockhold cracked my top 10

@p4pgoat I've been an mma fan since before they called it mma and I'm not sure that Vitor would be able to get anything going against Anderson. I think he was scared the first time and getting KO'd like that probably won't do anything for his confidence. Vitor can be a beast but he doesn't seem very solid mentally. He just breaks and shuts down if hes not crushing his opponent, like the schoolyard bully that gets punched in the nose.

@brad I have to disagree. Mostly about the "scared" part. Vitor was pushing the pace and Anderson was back pedaling in the beginning of that fight. Then he through a front kick that Vitor was totally not expecting. I don't see where you're coming from when talking about Vitor mentally. Even right after that fight Vitor was confident and wanted another shot. If he earns it Dana will give it to him. The KO of Akiyama was a good step towards another title shot.

I'd love to see him fight Chael to see if he has "truely" gotten past the last time he was mentally broke by a wrestler....

i think he jacare fought chael sonnen then sonnen would knock him out cause he has very under rated stand up and i dont think he would wanna take him down and risk getting sub'd (like the 4 other times in his career) and i dont think chael would be taken down by souza

Dude, Chael got tossed on his head and triangled by Maia. I'm sure Jacare has a pretty good shot at getting him down to get a sub.

Didn't Anderson take him down once too?

I'm not going to get into a Chael/Anderson argument, I'm just pointing out that Sonnen isn't impossible to get to the ground. Plus there's always the option of pulling guard if you can't take a guy down.

I'm surprised Rockhold is so low on the ranks, I think he will be an awesome potential UFC MW title contender after a couple of title defenses in SF. Most of you put him under Leben, Bisping, Munoz... do you really think he'd lose to any of them? The guy is well rounded enough to stop and beat anyone from 5th place down.

  1. Anderson Silva
  2. Chael Sonnen
  3. Luke Rockhold
  4. Vitor Belfort
  5. Nate Marquardt
  6. Yushin Okami
  7. Ronaldo Souza
  8. Demian Maia
  9. Michael Bisping
  10. Mark Munoz

Rockhold was barely on the radar before his fight with Souza. That loss for Souza ripped him right out of the top 10 and with Rockhold being so low prior to fight he was just able to sneak in at the #10 spot.

I may have Okami too high... I will be putting Munoz there if he gets past Leben.
