I have to admit I'm a bit conflicted.  I was rooting for Robbie and was put off by the stalling by Hendricks, but it's hard for me to see how Robbie won round 2, 3, or 4.  I guess I can see a case for him winning round 4, but that still seems like a bit of a stretch.  What a weird end to a great card.

1,5 Lawler
2,3 Hendricks

4th being a toss up round

Judges obviously don't score points for pushing a guy against the cage and hiding your head under his ball sack.  So they scored it Lawler

Maybe the judges took points away from hendricks everytime he shoved his head into lawlers **** space and did nothing. Nobody should get points for dragging someone to the ground and doing the blanket. Good decision.

@Beauxpati, they scored it for Robbie for teabagging Hendricks ... "ballsy" move if I could say so myself ;)

10/10 great card. The judging for the last fight leaves a bitter taste in my mouth though. Ugh.

Lol. There has been far more controversial. Hendricks did nothing. You shouldn't be rewarded for blanketing people. Good call by 2 judges. Lawler remains the baddest man on the planet.

@Mike, I'd love to agree with you man and I would if other than the stalling tactics and nutsack hugging Hendricks wasn't getting the better of most striking exchanges, but he was ...

But who the **** cares, ROBBIE LAWLER IS CHAMPION OF THE WORLD!!!!!!

That was one of the weirdest fights I've seen. Lawler comes out strong in the first but then starts to fade. Hendricks dominates round 2 and 3 and looks totally calm and collected while Lawler seems to be breaking down but then Hendricks does practically nothing in rounds 4 and 5 for some reason? Then a judge scores it 49-46 Lawler to give him the win because judges.

Blanketing people? Hendricks completely dominated Lawler on the feat in rounds 2,3,4 and half of round 1 and scored takedowns. Lawler put it on him in round 5. I know people like Robbie and dislike Hendricks but how do you score this for Lawler?

I don't want to see a rematch there are too many, half the time Hendricks was just holding on to Lawler against the fence while Lawler was elbowing and punching I got no problem with judges not rewarding stalling tactics

Rory next!!

49-46 is really easy to understand. It is basically a judge telling Hendricks to go **** himself for losing the last round this badly.

EDIT: I still thought Hendricks would win it - because he was the champ. MMA has a lot of weird judging criteria.

But I don't think Hendricks can retroactively not win rounds 2 and 3 by losing a round.

Lol.  I like Lawler too and enjoy the irony of Hendricks losing for stalling but I still think it's adorable how his sack riders are pretending he earned that win.

The fightmetric along with my eyes say 49-46 was a roflcopter lollerskates horribad decision. Legitimately annoyed. When they said 49-46 I said "Hendricks" because in no way did I see a scenario where Lawler won 4 rounds. People are going to be questioning this one for a lonnnnng time. Hendricks has been on the **** end of two pretty bad decisions now, with the first being the GSP fight IN MY OPINION. In all honesty though as others have said he has to shoulder a lot of the blame for cruising (ESPECIALLY in the last round, terrible terrible game plan on his part) Did Miesha Tate get to give Johny instructions between round 4 and 5? He could have done more, Robbie on the other hand left his ******* soul in there tonight. Do I think he won the fight? No. Do I think there's a single fighter on the roster more deserving of a questionable decision leading to winning a title? No. Congrats to Ruthless. Johny will get an opportunity to get the belt back in an unavoidable trilogy now, and Rory will be adding a lot of new bodies to his crawl space due to having to wait even longer for his shot. Whew, crazy night. In hindsight, no one really gives a **** about CM Punk anymore.
