After sustaining a knee injury that required surgery in his late August title defense against Ben Henderson, Anthony Pettis returns to action against the former Strikeforce champ Gilbert Melendez on Dec. 6. The championship bout is slated to take place after the fighters coach TUF 20. Milwaukee native Pettis will be coming off a submission win to Ben Henderson and Melendez a decision win over Diego Sanchez.
