UFC 130 PREDICTIONS AND DISCUSSION

Here we go ladies and gentlemen, UFC 130 is coming at you live and direct tonight from Las Vegas, Nevada. The event will be broadcast on Facebook, Spike TV, and then Pay Per View.  The Facebook prelimins are scheduled to begin at about 6:45 pm eastern time on the UFC Channel.   Then on Spike TV at 8:00, and PPV at 9:00.

It was a 2-person tie, not 3 like it says above.

You guys were even all the way down the fights until the Boetsch vs Grove fight, which you had perfect and the other person did not.  Congrats on unofficially winning the contest, awesome 10 for 10 performance!!!

@Minotuaro I thought Story took 1 and 2 via wall n stall if you want, but I feel he won those rounds with Thiago picking him apart in round 3...I had picked Alves via decision in the picks as well

@soccerkick, he couldn't get the takedown at all, and just pushed him against the fence, the most significant takedown was Alves' on Story in the second. Then whenever they were striking Alves tooled him. That was ******* ****...DEFENDING THE TAKEDOWN SHOULD BE WORTH AS MUCH AS GETTING IT!!!

I had the Story/Alves fight the same as Soccer. Story nullified and frustrated Alves through the first two rounds with Alves taking round 3.

@Mino. If it was judged by a fight you see without the judging involved. Alves won the fight. Judging needs to be adjusted. There will be many many decisions to come as the sport carries on. If the judging never changes more and more decisions will happen.
It's Alves who needs to work a lot on his TDD though. I was hoping he was already solid at it. But yes Story did just do a Fitch and sloppily punch Alves to frustrate him and shoot in when he could. lol.

Having Alves against the cage though gave Story control of the fight and a win of the rounds in the way judges score...That's how I look at fights is how I've seen judges score them, because I've seen a ton of things I don't agree with win fights and am always like how the hell...Whoever is on top or away from the cage is seen as controlling the fight

@bodymodifier, his tdd was fine, he defended just about every takedown, but I agree that the judging needs to get changed. Going for a takedown and being unsuccessful should not get you points. Alves defended every takedown and beat him up on the feet. 

Anyone else as impressed by Hapa's KO of Struve? That just took my #3 spot on KO of the year.

Good call! That was by far the best superman KO ever. Did you see Struve's neck and back arch back?! WOW.

They looked like trees blowing in the wind. So huge. In my mind I was thinking TIMBER. Joking aside that was one of the best knockouts I've seen. I think Struve will come back strong though.
