Nedkov vs. Cané Wiki
The first bout to air on the pay per view televised portion of UFC 134 featured Stanislav "Staki" Nedkov taking on Luis "Banha" Cane in a light heavyweight contest. Nedkov entered the fight making his UFC debut and was undefeated at 11-0. Cane entered the fight at 12-3 overall and was 4-3 in his previous UFC competition.
Cane landed the first strike with an inside low kick. They exchanged heavily as Nedkov pressed forward looking for a takedown, and Cane circled landing the better strikes. Cane found success with his left hook while Nedkov landed his counter overhand right a few times. Nedkov looked far less comfortable standing as Cane set the pace and timing of the striking exchanges. Blood trickled from the right side of Cane's face. A moment later, Nedkov landed a right hand followed by a left hook that landed to the temple. In the big turn of events, Nedkov swarmed all over Cane dropping huge punches over the hurt fighter. Cane fell to the ground and ate a series of right hands that forced referee Mario Yamasaki to jump in.
The official end came at 4:13 of the first round via TKO.
