Tough one. I think Poirier has the better skillset. He had Alvarez dead to rights but couldn't close the deal the first time around. Hard to say what would have happened if it didn't ended in a DQ. Wasn't looking good for Poirier at the time though. This one is 5 rounds and I think that favors Alvarez a little more. It's tough to bet against Eddie's heart. And those body shots really add up over 5 rounds. I go Alvarez here by KO/TKO.

I just have a feeling Poirier will win. He also deserves a crack at a title shot, the guy always puts on the best performances.
Aldo vs. Stephens

I think Jeremy is much hungrier than Aldo at this point in the game and is tasting that belt. I also think its Jeremy Stephens time to shine after all these years.
Jędrzejczyk vs. Torres

I think Rose took Joanna's soul and Tecia is probably hungrier and has much more to prove. Joanna may be overlooking Tecia, if so Tecia will show up.

This is as good as a card gets for a UFC on Fox card. Is this the last one? Reminds me of that card with Bendo vs Nate, Gus vs Shogun, and Rory vs BJ. That was the best Fox card imo, but this one has me hyped up.

I am convinced that Aldo is done as a top notch fighter. Stephens is on a serious roll right now he may get the KO but will say he wins a clear decison.

This is a very good fight. In a night where the judges could be very busy don't run to the fridge during this fight it will end early. I have Antigulov getting it to the ground and winning by tapout.

Nicolau has not fought anyone like Ortiz. I think this is a bad matchup for the younger fighter. Ortiz uses his pace and wrestling to take home the decision.

Poirier was on the way to finishing Alvarez until he got stupid and started brawling and got clipped which led to the illegal knees that ended the fight. Poirier has been on fire since then and I think he will continue his streak against Alvarez en route to a title shot and mauling at the hands of Khabib. I think we get a close and action packed first round before Alvarez gets careless with his chin and gets clipped and finished in the second.
Aldo vs. Stephens
Jeremy Stephens, KO/TKO, R3
Stephens is on a career run (see his Murder of Josh Emmett if you require proof) while Aldo is on a career worst run, he has lost his last two and the last fight was a particularly tough beating. Aldo has a tough cut to 145 and should move up to 155 regardless of this fights result. I can see Aldo doing well and controlling the first 2 rounds before Stephens blitzes him in the third, and a gassed Aldo can do nothing about it and likely takes his third loss in a row, while Stephens goes on to lose to the winner of Holloway vs. Ortega.
Jedrzejczyk vs. Torres
Joanna Jedrzejczyk, DEC
Jedrzejczyk is an all around better fighter than Torres, she is worlds ahead in the striking department and has defended takedowns from way better wrestlers than Torres. Torres has also shown no finishing power in her strikes so even a Hail Mary punch seems out of the question for her. Similar to Aldo, Jedrzejczyk needs to move up in weight immediately! They are both destroying themselves with a brutal weight cut, and have both lost twice to the current champion, meaning a title shot is likely closer up a weight class.
Hernandez vs. Aubin-Mercier
Olivier Aubin-Mercier, SUB, R3
I struggle to pick Hernandez purely because his only high level of opposition was an aging and worn out Beneil Dariush. Aubin-Mercier is on a 4 fight winning streak and should be able to out grapple Hernandez en route to a late fight submission.
