So how long before Alvarez/McGregor is at least put in here as rumored because it's going to happen.

And according to a Sherdog forum post, Marcos Rogerio de Lima says on Instagram that he's fighting Gian Villante.

@mike With Aldo requesting his release and saying he's going to retire, I wouldn't hold out any hope of seeing him (which makes me a very sad man, dude's one of my favorites).

Aldo makes some good points, but he needs to chillax. He wasn't the most active champion during his reign.

^Unbeknownst How so? McGregor isn't going to defend his belt for at least 14 months, longer than any break between defenses that Aldo ever had. Aldo had two injuries and had asked for fights at different times, but at the times he asked for another fight, the UFC determined that it was better for them if he waited (this was in large part to the utter domination he showed over the division a few years ago and the fact that it wasn't nearly as deep as it is these days). He fought twice a year generally, same as Edgar, but I never heard people complaining about Edgar's activity. Silva defended his belt generally twice a year. Same for GSP.

He needs to chillax? Why, b/c he's demanding as one of the best ever that he be treated with a tiny bit of dignity?

Like I said, Aldo makes some good points. However he wants the UFC to be one way when really it's the other. If he doesn't get what he wants he wants to be released so he can retire from MMA and do a different combat sport. There are still fresh guys he can fight in the 145 division.

Aldo was never put on a pedestal like he thought he should of been. Probably because he never was the finisher they were hoping for; plus other reasons too. He needs to focus on what he can control and hope he gets his redemption shot at McGregor. I doubt McGregor wants that to happen, because the first fight couldn't of ended better for him... and to be honest that image of Aldo powering off is probably how Aldo will be remembered firstly, not his winning streak. Unless that is until he can get that one back somehow.

I think it's perfectly reasonable to be upset with the way the UFC has been treating Aldo while not blaming Conor for taking a massive money fight to go for two belts. He's doing what we always claim we want champions to do, and to suggest (as some are) he's ducking anyone while fighting Eddie Alvarez is crazy.

I agree. Conor's not ducking anyone, he's looking for the biggest fight he find at each point in time, he could care less about which division he's holding up nor should he, it's not his job. It's the UFC's job to enforce their structure not the fighter's.

There is only one Conor and everyone wants to fight him because it's the biggest Payday they can get. Which means Conor holds all the cards and gets to pick his fights.

Kinda a stupid time to try and get a release.  If he wanted a release his best chance was after his Conor lose. Now he does not have a prayer of getting the release, and he can't even wait it out since now he Internium champion and has the champion Claus.

Feel like he has a a bad habit of making strong stances at the worst possible moment for himself.

Also I honestly feel worse for Holloway, that dude deserves a title shot. In fact I argue that no one in the history of the UFC is more deserving of a title shot then he is, yet he still going to have to fight again before he get his shot.

UFC 205 loses Tim Kennedy vs Rashad Evans. At least on the bright side of things there are at least 8 or 9 more compelling fights.

Evans really isn't a factor anymore at all, father time has caught up with him and his fighting career has to be closing in and Kennedy hasn't fought in forever.

I agree, it could have been worse. (i.e. a main card fight or Khabib/Johnson, Frankie/Stephens). Still, no more, please. Keep this card as safe as possible.
