You stand with an elite K1 level striker and you may go to sleep. Even if you're JDS.

Of all the UFC champions, Dos Santos is among the most vulnerable, along with Benson Henderson, Dominick Cruz and whoever is Flyweight Champion.

Dos Santos has Velasquez and Overeem to contend with and either or both have the tools to get the job done.

At the moment, Jones, Silva, GSP and Aldo are without credible contenders to wrest the belts from them.

I think based on personal skills and statistics, instead of challengers within a division, Junior is actually one of the least vulnerable champs in the UFC.  His TDD is 88%, only topped by Aldo and Jones among champions.  His 75% takedown accuracy are only surpassed by Georges and Anderson (both at 78%).  Junior also lands an average of over 6 significant strikes per minute, which is the by far the highest of all UFC champions.  Junior is head and shoulders above his division and his only challengers right now are Cain and Alistair.

Source: Fightmetric

I also disagree that Anderson and GSP lack credible contenders.  WW and MW both have dangerous guys that deserve title shots and are being overlooked.

And I think Junior KOs Cain one more time.

@mquestionable one of the best posts I've seen in a long time. You sir hit the nail on the head. JDS will KO Cain in the 2nd and I'll take it one further and say he will KO that roided up freak Overeem too.

Bottom line is if you stand with JDS you will go to sleep and if you try to take him down you'll get stuffed or he will stand right back up.

The fact is,Cain, JDS, and reem can all knock someone out in a moments notice. It's hard to say who will win a fight between any of those two because it could end at any time. JDS has the best striking skills I think but they are all more than qualified to get a one punch ko.

It's all about where the fight takes place with these guys. If Junior keeps it standing and maintains range he's probably going to KO both Cain and Reem. If he gets taken down by Cain...bad things. If he gets thai clinched by Reem...bad things.

I read somewhere (can't remember exactly where, but it wasn't from Cain himself) that Cain moving to 205 if he loses again is a possibility. Would he be able to make that? I know he's not the biggest heavyweight, but thats like a 35 lb weight change for him.

@amp, I think we might see him take a fight at Light Heavyweight and then go back up to heavyweight.

I wouldn't mind seeing that. He still would have the speed advantage against most 205ers. I realized he trains with some of the most efficient weight cutters out there. so it probably isn't a huge concern.

I really appreciate Hiblet's post about any given fight, cain, reem, JDS all have the power to turn off eachothers lights....but based solely on physics and tools in a fighters arsenal.....Cain<JDS<Reem, Cain won't be able to keep JDS down for long and every time he tries to take him down he puts himself in serious danger.  If he doesn't try for the takedown....Well that's a bad idea too.  Reem however could stand with JDS without giving away too much because of his world class kickboxing.

Reem overrated. He just throws power shots and is roided out of his mind. JDS could dance around him and put him down.  Hell i dont even think JDS should be worried about Reem. Reem is signifcantly slower then JDS and has not a very good chin. he got rocked several times by Werdrum and has been KO several times in his carreer. JDS on the other hand has an amazing chin.  So JDS should hit more often and be able to take the shots better.  Also there a good chance cain could put a beat down on JDS (which i think he will) and also put a beat don on Reem. Cain wrestling is on a completely different level then what they have gone up against.  Cain also has very good standup and could very well stand up with them and hold his own. I expect cain to show the world he the best heavy weight in his remacth with JDS.
