UFC 103 Wiki Update Wiki

For the third straight time in 2009, Rich Franklin headlined a card nobody else wanted to be a part of, as he took on returning former Light Heavyweight Champion Vitor Belfort in a catchweight bout at 195lbs. Originally scheduled to battle Dan Henderson in a rematch of their January battle, Franklin was matched up against Belfort when fans expressed their disappointment with the main event. Unfortunately, Franklin’s jumps in weight classes to accomodate his opponents at catchweights caught up with him. He was knocked out in the first round.
