I mean. I’m assuming you get some kind of karmic hard on from your bipolar niceties right. Just like how the easiest way to break a persons spirit according to excerpts from a slave owners diary was to be irregular with rewards and punishments, so the person couldn’t anticipate what would generate pain or relief.

I like to see effort, virtue, and quality rewarded in the world. I think it's very important that this keeps happening. One of my theories as to why the state of the world is as deplorable as it currently is that sociopathy and narcissism are materially and socially rewarded, and virtue and values are not. We are slowly building a world in which it is becoming increasingly impossible to be good.

Mikey is kind of a legend, really. If he kicked the bucket tomorrow, Greg wouldn't be able to replace him ever again.

Yeah, Anthem and Atlas Shrugged had a huge impact on me as a kid. More so than almost any other books, and I kind of agree with your middling position.
