I think Cung Le looked great tonight i know he ended up losing but he looked damm good in that first round.

I hope the guy stops with acting and really focuses on MMA. If he does i think he could be a beast in the MW division.

He's 39 though, so if he can't beat Wandy I honestly don't see him getting any better.  IMO he's probably peaked, because even if his skills increase, his body and physical conditioning won't hold up.

@fresno i know what you mean and i think Le looked a little soft tonight anyway. But i think he could atleast hang with some of the Mid tier fighters.

And you never know with his crazy kicks he could just catch anyone and get a W

On Sherdog's matches to make, they have Wanderlei vs Vitor/Johnson winner. Do they want to knock Wanderlei into a coma?

It did turn out to be a great card, but I have the Alvarez/Chandler fight as FOTY over Hendo/Shogun... that was just amazing.  @T0rch.. hmm.. yeah.. i don't agree with that idea either.  I would really have to think about who Wandy should fight next.

@minotauro .... Henderson had Shogun fighting off sub and getting knocked out for 3 rounds but Shogun deserves a draw for control in the 5th? what?... Hendo won that fight.

Despite how many dominant positions Shogun got, he still did next to nothing in them.  Mounts lose their value when you aren't damaging. Regardless, I scored it in favor of Hendo.

Shogun didnt do damage from mount? He constantly landed ground and pound, definitely a 10-8 round.

So far I have only watched Shogun/Hendo and Wandy/Le, great fights. Back to watching the rest

Shogun scored 80 punches and 5 mounts.

Hendo barely managed 8 arm punches the entire round.

Round 5 was a 10-8, imo.

Yeah Henderson had Shogun hurt bad in round 3, but he still had offense in that round. Some strikes early (I think), heel hook attempt, and a takedown plus uppercuts at the end. Round 5 was utter domination and in no way could be considered a 10-9.

The card was OK until the main event. Then it wet from OK to outragious. I was amazed y Shogus toughness and overcommig adversity towards the end. Both men needed a person to assist them with walking after the fight. Look at Hendo walking back stage afterwards, he had 2 dudes holding him up, those dudes took everything from each other. Fight was worth the decade wait.
