Predictions: 6 of 11 Winners, 3 Perfect, 375 Points   |   Tied for 360th

The opening bout of UFC 132 featured Jeff "Hellbound" Hougland taking on Donny "Eagle Eye" Walker. Both fighters were making their debuts, in the bantamweight division.

Hougland opened up with a low kick and then one to the body. Walker came forward with a superman punch but was immediately taken down by a Hougland double leg shot. Jeff Hougland stood over looking for openings for punches and then sat down into Walker's guard. Walker was active off of his back but was pressed up against the fence a moment later and found himself in a guillotine attempt from Hougland. Walker patiently maneuvered his head free and had top position. Hougland immediately attacked for a triangle off of his back but Walker easily avoided it. A slick sequence of scrambling saw Hougland get back on top, though found himself needing to defend a leglock from Walker as the ground-oriented round came to a close.

The fighters spent the first minute of round two kickboxing, with Hougland mixing it up more with low kicks and then a nice spinning backfist. Walker threw big hooks as he hunted for a homerun, yet Hougland appeared to be winning more of the exchanges as he opened up a small cut near Walker's right eye. A quick sequence saw Walker slip to the ground and eat a shot to the groin, and during the brief pause the flow of blood and swelling from his cut appeared to worsen. After the restart Hougland landed a nice left and pulled guard with a guillotine. Blood dripped from Donny Walker's eye as he fought to survive the submission. Hougland adjusted and had the choke sunk in deep but the 10-second warning sounded and Walker seemed to barely survive to the end of the round.

Walker got underhooks quickly in round three and then connected with a good knee to the body. Hougland dropped down giving Walker top position. Hougland latched on a nasty armbar, Walker lifted up and slammed Hougland down, crashing free from the lock. Referee Mario Yamasaki stood the fighters after a brief period of inactivity and Walker landed a nice combination. Walker worked to pull off an unusual choke from the top, couldn't put Hougland in danger, and was swept to his back with a minute left. Walker likely needed a finish to win but time ran out as he attempted to stay busy with punches off of his back.

The judges scored the bout 29-28, 29-28, and 30-27, all in favor of Jeff "Hellbound" Hougland via unanimous decision.
