With such a quick win, I don't want to see Guillard need to wait until December to fight the winner of Miller/Henderson. I think they need to figure something out more quickly.

Condit can beat GSP. Not saying he will, but if there is anyone who stands a chance, it's him.

Predictions: 6 of 11 Winners, 3 Perfect, 375 Points   |   Tied for 360th

The opening bout of the UFC 132 pay per view main card featured a highly anticipated clash between welterweights "Stun Gun" Dong Hyun Kim and "The Natural Born Killer" Carlos Condit. Kim entered the bout 5-0 with one no-contest in his previous UFC action, whereas Condit was 3-1 in his UFC action. Condit had also amassed a 5-0 record in the WEC and left that organization as the champion when parent company Zuffa folded the division into the UFC. The winner of the bout would likely be in prime position to contend for the UFC welterweight title.

Condit started off with a jabbing front kick and then Kim threw a left high kick. Kim changed levels and immediately had a takedown. Condit brilliantly swept his way to mount, Kim hip escaped out, and the fighters were back to standing. Condit launched a right high kick, blocked by Kim, and then stretched forward for a right cross to an out-of-range "Stun Gun." Kim came inside but ate a left hand from Condit, and then a follow-up inside low kick from Condit. A moment later Carlos Condit delivered a monster flying knee to the chin of Kim, knocking him to his back and opening up with at least five big undefended hooks to the face, Kim motionless on the ground in a shocking finish.

The official end came at 2:58 of round one, with Condit winning via TKO. Speaking to Joe Rogan in the post-fight interview, Condit commented, "I feel excellent, I stuck to the gameplan with one of the best training camps in the world... I got sick a few weeks ago and if I didn't start feeling well I would have had to pull out, but we recuperated and here I am... like I said, thank you to all my training partners and everybody back at home... and how about it Joe Silva, am I ready for a title shot or what?"
