I don´t think he´s talking about technique being more important that results, but if we are talking about a well rounded fighter then he has to have a good techinque in all areas, wether if he can use them efectivlly or not, if we have a well rounded fighter who is very skillfull but he does not fight smart, he will lose more often than not.
Chael is a one sided fighter who is very smart and uses his wrestling to win his fights, take away Sonnen wrestling or make that average and how many fights do you think he would have won if he based his gameplan in striking or BJJ?

Edit: well I wasn´t wrong in my asumption after all

Here's my ranking. Now Anderson Silva, Rory MacDonald, Rashad Evans, Forrest Griffin, Stefan Bonnar, Cain Velasquez, Roy Nelson, Mark Munoz, Frankie Edgar, Tyson Griffin, Spencer Fisher, Sam Stout, and Nate Marquardt should get honorable mention, or could be on the top 10 list at any given point and time, and as much as I hate to admit it because one of them I don't like, and the other it just seems unbelievable, but Diego Sanchez and Michael Bisping both have really well-rounded games.

Actaully legacy, I can take or leave Michael Bisping, but I can't stand Diego Sanchez. I don't know why. I just never liked the guy.

I realize the majority of people dislike him a lot but surely there's an argument for Bisping making the top 10?

He got caught by Hendo yes but wherever the fight goes he's more than game

Chael is an Olympic alternate and he had to try with all his might to take Bisping down.

Just a thought

Bisping gets more hate than he deserves as a fighter b/c of his dumbass comments and actions outside of the cage. He is more well rounded than Chael and Hendo imo though. Doesn't mean he wins either fight in a re-match, but he is def more well rounded.

Bisping is one of the most well rounded guys in MMA who is never talked about. He is just underrated in general. But I won't go further into the Bisping discussion, because when I do, I get alot of hate.

ppl really didn't like me saying Nate & Nick Diaz over Faber...

Diaz's can be on top, bottom or standing with any elite level fighter

Faber should not stand with an elite striker

Niether Diaz has any  TD defense... that is what kills  them.

@rayallen0 dude. you have Nick Diaz at 4 and Georges St-Pierre at 5...your opinions are invalid on this matter because you obviously don't know what well-rounded means.

I like that you have Thompson in that list. He got into the UFC very early into his MMA career, trains with GSP at Tristar and gets a chance to prove himself, a chance that a lot of people would kill for, and what does he do next? He comes in completely out of shape and with a horrible ground game. He has a lot to make up for in his next fight. I hope he faces another wrestling-based fighter.
