This is not necessarily a greatest fighters of all time ranking. I'm just curious as to whom you guys think had the most dominant peaks in the history of mixed martial arts.

Shamrock had a pretty good run as Intercontinental Champ I think, lol

I need 15 more contributors. I'll settle for 50 but realistically everyone should be filling this out

I could have spent my 250th post on the milestone thread. That's too cliche. Instead I think I'll bump this thread. I also will pose a question. How many more defenses does Jon Jones need to make your list, if he's not already on yours?

Nik, I can't put Ice Cold on my list. With all due respect, when your signature wins are Gary Goodridge and Mark Kerr, you're not in the same category as guys like Hughes, Aldo and Wanderlei.

its all relative. in a time of gray area for MMA he went on a 32 fight win streak, and had a record of 41-1. Are you guys trying to tell me thats not dominant???? Who was he supposed to fight in 95' !?! I guess people like phil esposito, bernie federko guy perrault shouldnt be touted so highly.. seeing as they played in an era where goalie couldnt make saves, and defencemen didnt know who to play defence, right??

An argument can be made for any one of my top 10 most dominant fighters. Hell even in present day, an argument can be made for Jon Jones, Jose Aldo, and JDS. I think it's all a matter of opinion, because some will say that it's about who had the most wins during a time period, others would say it's who had the most title defenses in any one time period, and others would say who fought and beat the most competitive fighters of their weight class and time period. I think any one of my top 15 could easily be considered for the spot in my top 15. You see my top 10 here, well the next 5 are Jon Jones, Jose Aldo, JDS, Urijah Faber, and Chuck Norris.
