UFC 142 is coming to you live tonight from that mysterious yet seemingly awesome place called Rio. Jose Aldo defends his belt against Chad Mendes in a compelling featherweight main event.

Things are scheduled to kick off at AROUND 7:30 eastern time for a single prelim fight on Facebook.com/UFC. Then at 8:00 eastern time you can catch 4 fights for free on FX (for the first time, FX, not Spike!) . Finally at 10:00pm eastern time, plunk down your hard earned dollars to watch the Pay Per View main card.

Your prediction results and leaderboard ranking will automatically show up in any posts made here. If you want to embed your full listing of picks you can do that also. Aldo did have a brief fence grab in there, but he was warned and that was that. The other times that Mendes actually pulled him down, Aldo immediately was back up. Hard to see how the one fence grab had a big impact on the fight.

That wouldn't have happened if he didn't grab the fence. I'm not saying it wouldn't have happened in the later rounds but Mendes had that takedown and would have won that round had Aldo not blatantly cheated. Mendes deserves redemption.

Hopefully they can let Aldo fight KZ. It may not be a warranted fight but it would be a great main event to a free card and a fun fight.

Fresno, Mendes got KTFO'd in one round. Aldo stuffed 90% of his takedowns and the one he didn't stuff, he popped up in two seconds. Yes he grabbed the fence once, but was immediately taken down when the ref made him let go. Then he got up, and knocked him out. Mendes got outclassed, fence grab or no fence grab, he would have gotten ko'd in that round.
