Predictions: 5 of 10 Winners, 0 Perfect, 250 Points   |   Tied for 1100th

UFC 142 is coming to you live tonight from that mysterious yet seemingly awesome place called Rio. Jose Aldo defends his belt against Chad Mendes in a compelling featherweight main event.

Things are scheduled to kick off at AROUND 7:30 eastern time for a single prelim fight on Facebook.com/UFC.  Then at 8:00 eastern time you can catch 4 fights for free on FX (for the first time, FX, not Spike!) . Finally at 10:00pm eastern time, plunk down your hard earned dollars to watch the Pay Per View main card.

Your prediction results and leaderboard ranking will automatically show up in any posts made here. If you want to embed your full listing of picks you can do that also.   Your picks, as well as a link to embed the image, and the top of the site-wide leaderboard will all be available in the right column on this thread.

Enjoy the fights and good luck in your predictions!

REMINDER: No requesting of or posting links to illegal streams of the Pay Per View broadcast.

@mulefloyd  What's wrong with a decision?  Most of the best fights go to the judges scorecard.

True but I think a majority of decisions are lackluster. I think Hendo/Shogun is the exception but I would love a card of 12 decisions if they were all good.

I think in general the finish is the most exciting and memorable part of a fight, but FOTN almost always goes to a decision. I could care less if a card is all decisions, if they're all solid fights.

Yeah and with fights like JDS/Carwin, I honestly think the lack of a finish made the fight even better.  If JDS would have finished Carwin, even in the final round, it wouldn't have been as awesome as it was to see him take that much punishment and still push forward and fight.  Seeing that was better than seeing a KO.

Usually a decision like that is a result of the losing fighter being too tough to finish and those fights I applaud but the ones where one guy could finish but doesn't either from being too cautious or being satisfied with a decision are the ones I dread.

@mule One that comes to mind is Mark Hunt vs Rothwell, Rothwell was practically sticking his chin out and asking to get knocked out but Hunt was just waddling around doing nothing, it was so irritating.
