UFC 142 is coming to you live tonight from that mysterious yet seemingly awesome place called Rio. Jose Aldo defends his belt against Chad Mendes in a compelling featherweight main event.

Things are scheduled to kick off at AROUND 7:30 eastern time for a single prelim fight on Facebook.com/UFC.  Then at 8:00 eastern time you can catch 4 fights for free on FX (for the first time, FX, not Spike!) . Finally at 10:00pm eastern time, plunk down your hard earned dollars to watch the Pay Per View main card.

Your prediction results and leaderboard ranking will automatically show up in any posts made here. If you want to embed your full listing of picks you can do that also.   Your picks, as well as a link to embed the image, and the top of the site-wide leaderboard will all be available in the right column on this thread.

I had it a Draw but maybe the judges realize they are pretty close to the fans. And they are in Brazil and Tavares is Brazilian so maybe they value their lives, which I guess is understandable.

The fights have been alternating decision, 1st rnd finish, decision, 1st rnd finish, decision.  Let's hope this pattern continues with an Eric Silva 1st rnd finish!

Swick I thought the strikes Tavarez landed in the second did more damage, the head kick and a couple leg kicks that Stout shook off

not in brazil. you got to take that into consideration. anything close is going to the brazilians. it happened exactly like that last time in rio. i count on it. wait til the swedish card comes up.
