Be grateful Greg runs and mods this site. Not only could nobody else do it, but I would literally quit this site permanently if he ever handed the keys over to someone else. Instantly. I don't agree with him on everything, but he's still incalculably better at moderating this forum than anybody else would be, and we get away with rather a lot on these boards.

He can't let this place become like 4chan started a bootleg MMA streaming service. He has to think about PR and getting deplatformed. It's a business. One he started from scratch with his own time and money, not knowing i it would even work, because before Tapology existed there was nothing like it.  Try and find a better MMA site.

I bet this one pretty heavy. Cruz is a very smart fighter and he knows the biggest danger for him is the leg kicks. I fully expect him to have a plan to neutralize them, most likely by catching them.

My only decision on this fight was which round the submission will happen.

I really hope Neal wins this one. But he only will do so if he implements a kicking-heavy gameplan, going to the body, front leg and to the head. If he gets in boxing exchanges with Santiago, altho Geoff has the faster and more precise hands, Santiago has more volume, longer distance and better footwork, with his boxing. It all depends on Neal and his fight iq/strategy, so let's see what gameplan coach Saud put together for Geoff

You can probably just disregard this prediction (as you were probably going to anyway) because full disclosure:  I am a Handz of steel fan. But for what it's worth, I do think he's got a VERY real shot of sending Ponzi to Disneyland here. Santiago was KO'ed not very long ago by the Leech, and if you look at his record, he tends to do well against wrestlers and volume strikers who try and stand and bang with him, but whenever he faces Boxing-based power hitters he doesn't perform as well, and can be KO'ed. Neal's real issue is his lack of output, and if that is your deficit it isn't hard to lose to Magny or Wonderbread. Ponzi should definitely be the favourite, but I'm going to take Neal for the upset in this one. Neal. KO/TKO R1.

I considered that Amanda Nunes is clearly a super favorite for obvious reasons, but at the same time I think that people are greatly underestimating Peña: This is the first time since UFC 200 where Nunes faces a fighter with a heavy wrestling strategy that has the strength and effectiveness to make takedowns (Spencer had a good ground game, but did not have the strength to be able to take Nunes down) the last two times Amanda faced a fighter of this type she managed to finish them by rear-naked choke in the first round (Tate and McMann), but you also have to remember that Nunes was defeated by Cat Zingano via ground and pound in the past. 

While Peña I don't think she has the famous ''Puncher Chance'', I do consider that if she manages to get takedowns she could complicate the fight for Amanda Nunes. Many people think that Nunes will knock out Peña with the first combination of punches (which is highly unlikely) or that he will finish it after a beating in less than 1.5 rounds (which could actually happen), but remember that GDR was also for many an easy defense for Nunes and after a clear first round things got complicated for Nunes having to use his plan B to dominate De Randamie on the ground to win the fight (and not dominate with striking as Nunes always used to). 

Peña may not have a good striking but on the ground he even came to clearly dominate Valentina Shevchenko (before being finished by Armbar) and had an even fight with GDR (before being shocked by a surprising power guillotine of the Dutch Kickboxer). I consider that this fight will have something additional interesting because unlike Anderson and Spencer who climbed mentally defeated to the cage and even Holm who was shy during the one against Amanda, Juliana has come with the mentality of not paying respect to the double champion (this in an excessive way since the weeks before UFC 265) and this can lead her to have enormous confidence as well as to receive a clear beating from Nunes. UFC 269 seems like a spectacular event and with an excellent matchmaking, I am looking forward to the weigh in of the event. 

In conclusion I can say that certainly Amanda Nunes should win this fight clearly, but what is also true that Peña represents a greater threat to Nunes than Megan Anderson and Felicia Spencer combined.
