Oliveira vs Poirier and Cruz vs Munhoz are the closest fights on paper, people are sleeping on Charles

Not sleeping at all. He's came a long way. But he's been finished almost every loss he has. Dustin is the best boxer in that division. His leg kicks are dirty. Charles being Charles will think he can stand and bang and he will get mopped.

I really like costa but Kelley can take a punch. If costa doesn’t ko him in the first I’m worried about the rest of the fight. Tai and silva are probably locks of the card. Tai at -110 is crazy; nothing from Sakai impressed me aside from his ability to steal fights on the judges score cards

Osama don’t make the same mistake I did. I thought Charles was gonna get starched but he’s not that same fighter anymore. He has the heart of a champ. Poirier could 100% ko him but I don’t think it’s gonna be as easy as you think.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 5 of 9 Winners, 1 Perfect, 290 Points   |   Tied for 4087th

Oliveira vs. Poirier
Dustin Poirier, DEC
Poirier will really have to make this dirty. Oliveira is better in all areas in terms of technique and speed, but both can match eachother anywhere. Charles has a lot of heart, but Poirier obviously has more. Poirier cannot wrestle in the middle of the cage, nor should he kickbox with Charles. He should pressure Oliveira against the cage and make it ugly. Dirty boxing, rips to the liver, and takedowns against the cage. Don't give Charles room to slide in a guillotine. Dustin SHOULD win, but Charles has craftiness and risk taking abilites that make him a very hard test for the challenger Dustin Poirier.

Nunes vs. Peña
Amanda Nunes, SUB, R4
Yes, obviously I pick Nunes to win. I'm not delusional. Pena is a test in terms of grit and determination, therefore I think we will see a 4th round. Juliana is going to lose every second of this fight, and she'll get dropped with a head kick or a punching combo and give up her back. Nunes submits her.

Kara-France vs. Garbrandt
Cody Garbrandt, TKO, R1
Kara-France doesn't have the power to knock out a true bantamweight. Cody is a former champion and debunked the critics (including me) of his chin against Rob Font. Cody needs to win this, and I'll bet my ring finger he gets it done.

Emmett vs. Ige
Josh Emmett
Josh just hasn't shown me what Ige has. Ige is very fast and sharp. But I still pick Josh Emmett because of Ige getting mauled by TKZ on the ground for 20 minutes. All Josh has is a single leg and a overhand right, but it's obviously effective and I reckon he gets the win and catapultes himself to a big fight next. Time is running out for him, so if he wants a belt he'll need to pick this contender apart.

Munhoz vs. Cruz
Dominick Cruz, DEC
Pedro Munhoz is starting to become the gatekeeper guy for legends to see how good they still are. That's clearly his role and I think he does well at it. I think this is a very close fight on paper, but Cruz has JUST enough left in the tank to win. This reminds me of a Pacquiao-Ugas, but here I think Pacquiao (Cruz) wins this unlike my example. Pedro will destroy Dom's calves, but Cruz banks enough rounds before it gets too bad so he rides it out. I think he loops 1-2 combos and blast double legs to get it done. Munhoz will land more, but Cruz will look flashier and win a split decision.

Silva vs. Wright
Bruno Silva, TKO, R2
This Silva guy is for real. Wright is a can crusher, and he just isn't the same breed as Bruno. Bruno eeks out his finishes in hard fights, and Wright sort of just steamrolls dudes with horrible records.

Cachoeira vs. Robertson
Gillian Robertson
I agree with -400. If it weren't for the horse**** stand-up call in Priscila's last fight, I'd be predicting a different fight because she would be in Bellator right now. Or in the PFL dogging it out against Vanessa Melo.

Charles jaw is beyond breached. He got hit by a overhand from Mike Glass Jaw Chandler and would of been finished if Mike didn't jump into his guard. It's no surprise that Mike got knocked out. Lmao. That takes no skill. We'll see. There's a reason DP is #5 on the P4P list and #1 on the best lightweights. He's going to pick Charles apart and Charles will go for a takedown . Dustin is going to KO him.

Let's not forget Charles had the easiest fight for the belt. The reason he even has it is because Dustin turned it down for another fight with Conor.

Big fan of Iron , but no... Anybody who has crisp stand up and TDD , destroys Mike. Charles thought his weak chin would hold up against one of the strongest hitters in the world which was stupid as **** and he's lucky he didn't get finished. Came back , and used his length to hit that weak jaw of Chandler. Out of everybody in the top 5 , they gave him Chandler. Cmon.. were overplaying what happened. He's going to get bombed on. Save this post so you remember after the fight that I called it .

lol true. beating a washed up (im sorry casuals but he is washed up) McGregor twice isn't that impressive. I really think its the reason dustin is the favorite (and he will never be an underdog again unless he fights islam). Dont get me wrong, he is absolutely elite; he has ben at the top of his divisions throughout his career, but look at the improvements Charles has made. I thought these same exact things when he fought chandler, but do bronx has made so many improvements in his career.

Yeah , exactly. A survivor. Not a champ..he tapped to elbows and "gave up". Lol. He'll be sure to do the same. He also could of won the fight against Gaethje but he was too worried about being entertaining. He could of wrestle ****** Justin the whole fight.
