Agreed, but WME has to claw some of that overpriced acquisition back somehow. I feel like they are scraping the bottom of the barrel at this point though.  I actually don't mind the model of having circus fights for made-up belts so long as it doesn't interfere with the rankings or stops fighters getting shots for titles they have earned meretriciously. It's a business after all. I'll truly lose the rag if Mcgregor gets the winner of Khabib vs Tony without fighting at least two ranked guys first--one of which being the loser of Tony Khabib.

I agree. I think volkanovski mauls Holloway. Uses the cage as a meat grinder. An excessively unanimous decision win. Not sure about finishing him.

I will also agree, technically, GDR is leaps and bounds ahead of "The Lioness", but..... I honestly see the same gameplan used against Cyborg, to be used against GDR. Confidence  is tooo high, and she's definitely in that "invincible" champ status, she's gonna walk GDR down, and hit her with hammers. KO in 2.

Usman retains and I am in strong belief of that, both in my head and my gut. I think each others wrestling chops, cancel each others out, leading to a striking matchup. Annnd I think I would give Kamaru the edge in striking. And that's my unbiased POV. That's giving Colby ****face credit for the fighter he is. Not letting my disgust and hatred of him sway my prediction. Usman by UD

@fish if he beat the loser of khabib Tony I'd be OK with him getting the winner next. Don't forget he'll be fighting Cowboy and maybe masvidal first so...

@Free yeah man, if he gets though the loser of Khabib vs Tony he should get the shot. I'm OK with that. But not before....and really Cowboy is feeding session.

@Brad I hope Nunes doesn't use the same gameplan she used against Cyborg...that would be suicide. Cyborg is loopy as ****, GDR would almost certainly KO her if put in the same situation. She should work to get her down IMO.I doubt GDR is better on the ground than she was the first time.

@Free, Fishy.. That wouldn't be a bad idea either, taking GDR down to the canvas. I gotta agree tho, GDR's ground game prolly hasn't evolved at all... Annnd if it has, it's still not enough to restrain Nunes from taking her down and smashing her

I still stick to.my 1st soberish statement. Covington, Volkanovski and GDR become The NEW!!!!!
If I was to rank them in.how confident I am I'd say 1. Covington 2. Volkanovski  3. GDR.
Of course all 3 have extremely tough jobs on their hands to do it because the 3 Champs are all great in their own way.
My reasons in short are Covingtons pace will be too much and he'll take over in rds 3, 4 and 5. Usman isn't likely to KO him.
I love Max but he has been in too many wars, taken a hella lotta shots and this is the fight he gets hurt maybe finished.
GDR has much better striking than Nunes and Nunes won't be able to take her down so easily as their 1st fight, in 2013, GDR lights her up, keeps distance with jabs, kicks and wins a DEC or Nunes gets frustrated and walks onto a shot.

Of course I may by completely wrong, I often am!!! These are my thoughts is all. Don't get your knickers in a twist if you think any different before you start writing responses calling me "****** dumb" "you don't know **** about UFC bro!!!" Haha

You're right. He has been scheduled for 5 early in Australia. But always won by TKO. Latest being 4mins into R4.
I did say it's not a cert, Holloway is an all time great at 145,probably top 20/25 all time.  My thought is he gets hit a lot from the very start of his career and the damage adds up.  I think that Volk can be the 1 that pushes him over the edge and gets a finish.

Again, I may be wrong, its just my feeling on the fight.  I am not saying Holloway could piece him up with his jab and combination punching. He really could.

But it's a fight between 2 high level guys. You should know that nothing is certain. You make your pick, I make mine but really we both don't have a clue how it will turn out til.the cage door closes and Buffer goes "It's TIME!!!!!!!!"

GDR is not going to get into a firefight with Nunes like Cyborg did, throwing technicality & IQ out the window. If Nunes is intent on striking with GDR, she'll most likely be on the losing end of things. Just take GDR down and beat her up like the first fight is the easiest and safest path to victory.

Also, you guys are mad if you think GDR's ground game hasn't evolved since 2013!!!!!That 1st fight was almost 7 years ago!  C'mon guys, you really believe GDR hasn't improved her ground game since then???  She would be incredibly stupid if she hasn't and she doesn't strike me as incredibly stupid!  She already had elite striking long before she started MMA, so of course she will have worked on her ground game, especially her take down defence.  I don't expect her to start hitting triangles and armbars off her back, but she will be incredibly hard to take down.  She will be incredibly difficult to even get a hold of as her footwork is elite, so how you gonna takedown what you can't grab???
Since when has Nunes been a takedown threat???  Her takedowns vs Pennington and Tate came from strikes.

I know Nunes is ******* tremendous, likely the womens GOAT!  I just do not think she will walk through GDR, not 1 bit, and if she goes in with the mentality that she is just gonna blast through GDR ala Cyborg then she will eat a straight right on the chin real quick!
Again, I am not certain GDR wins, I am not writing off Nunes, that would be dumb!  But I do expect a close fight in which whoever lands the 1st clean shot may go on to win and in that sort of fight GDR has a real shot
