i think covington takes this, as much as i hate saying that. usman didnt beat woodley, woodley beat himself and didnt even fight . threw minimal strikes and when usman took him down he laid flat on his back like a $2 ***** and didnt even try to get up. i think woodley was so afraid he would gas out that he just didnt have the heart to try. i agree that everyone usman has beat colby has dominated. bold prediction here, covington ko's usman inside of 3.

Very bold considering Colby has never Ko'ed anyone, his two TKO's have come at the end of fights when his opponent has been gassed, and Usman has never been finished with strikes. That's wishful thinking Phil. As much as we can hope, this will be an exceedingly awful fight that is almost certainly going to go to decision. Thankfully the rest of the card is solid...I might even tune out for the main if something better is on. I really don't know who wins. I might pick Trollby for ****s and giggles.

This is a bit like the idea of Canelo vs Masvidal in reverse to me. Like, I can't stand Canelo but he would end Jorge horribly within three rounds, unless it was an exhibition carry like Floyd vs Mcgregor.

Picks

Predictions: 5 of 13 Winners, 1 Perfect, 305 Points   |   Tied for 2405th

Usman v Covington
Usman, DEC
Usman dominated Woodley, RDA, and Maia. Covington barely won the RDA fight (a few analysts even had it for RDA); he got lit up by Maia in round 1 and bit of round 2. His Lawler win was a bit overblown imo. Lawler is done, no? He lost 50/45 against RDA as well.

Holloway v Volkanovski
Holloway, DEC
Holloway is just too ******' good. He won't get held down by Volkanovski. His boxing is superior. His chin is iron clad. And, his reach and height advantage puts it over the edge. Not picking a finish as both fighters have insane cardio, and that's the way Holloway usually ends his opponents.

Nunes v GDR
GDR, DEC
GDR will play it safe, keep it standing and it'll end up being a boring kickboxing match.

Aldo v Moraes
Aldo, TKO r2
They're the same fighter, except this is ALDO! If he can make weight (or if he weighs in over, and doesn't even try), I think he'll smash Moraes.

Yan v Faber
Yan, anyway he wants
DUh

Perry v Neal
Neal, DEC
Neal is a far more technical striker. THe only x factor will be whether Perry can somehow catch Neal with his power late in the fight. I don't think he'll do it.

@TheBrown1

I think Covington will get scared and come up with a convenient injury to back out of the fight.

lame headlining fight... thought it was going to be boring, but Colby is probably more likely to catch Kamaru, that is compared to Usman draing it out as boring as can be...

Two caricatures wrestling. Usman can only win by decision. This dude has one submission!!!! What kind of great wrestler has one submission fighting for title? Colby for sure is a mental patient, but he is a real fighter and I think Colby can out wrestle this fake african.

Yan vs. Faber
Petr Yan
-500? Faber caught some magic last fight, looks like zero chance here. I'm guessing it goes over, if they list 1.5 as it is too easy to think big favorites crush early and total is cheaper free money alternative

I wonder how juiced the over 4.5 (I dont think 3.5) total will be for the colby fight? -200, maybe more?

I might play under just because nobody thinks that.

Usman/over is the correlation that wont hit cuz he is even faker than Colby's schtick,  its colby and the under baby :)

Go big or go home.

Usman vs. Covington
Colby Covington, TKO, R2
I think he might be overconfident. "just a feeling like luke rockhold vs bisping." you know the vibe. Kamaru is supposed to win tho.

Holloway vs. Volkanovski
Max Holloway, TKO, R4
compelling match-up, getting the frankie edgar vibe. one sided beatdown, wont be surprised if alexander can pull it off.

Nunes vs. de Randamie II
Germaine de Randamie, DEC
all greats have to lose, amanda is the obvious choice but, im going to go with Germaine, because if she stays at range she can beat her. the Goat is supposed to win.

Aldo vs. Moraes
José Aldo, TKO, R2
i think jose gets a stoppage and gets a title shot.

Yan vs. Faber
Petr Yan, DEC
solid fight but can urijah shock the world again?

Perry vs. Neal
Mike Perry, TKO, R1
i think they just going throw, and whoever gets clipped, gets clipped.

Vieira vs. Aldana
Ketlen Vieira, DEC
idk it just seems the obvious choice

Heinisch vs. Akhmedov
Ian Heinisch, TKO, R3
drunk wobble, sleep.

Brown vs. Saunders
Matt Brown, TKO, R2
sloppy boppy.

Teymur vs. Hooper
Chase Hooper, SUB, R2
rnc

Moreno vs. Kara-France
Kai Kara-France, SUB, R3
Intriguing

Eye vs. Araujo
Viviane Araujo, TKO, R2
took a bad knockout, idk.

Soriano vs. Piechota
Punahele Soriano, TKO, R1

@u8it as far as Jessica eye is concerned. Knock outs usually don't have the same demoralizing effect in mma as they do in boxing.

Ronda Rousey is the only time I think that really happened. Holly Holm killed Rhonda's career and Nunez put the nail in the coffin and buried it.
