I got Henderson with 4th round Knockout. He has knocked out quite a few fighters in his last 6 fights. Might change round if Rua does not look good at weight ins. Also, an interesting matchup between Bader and Brilz. plus Vitor Belfort vs Cung Le. There might be quite a few knockouts on this card.

I'll have to agree and stick with Hendo for now. He never ceases to amaze me when he's facing anyone really.
Don't be surprised if I change to Shogun later though. I'll have to put more thought into the fight, but when I just look at it quickly. My gut tells me Hendo.

I think Rua wins via submission or decision, def not knockout although i do believe rua wins the standup also.
Idk why, ik hendo is really good at all things mma, but i just believe rua can out do hendo no matter where the fight goes here, even in grappling.  I guess ill just have to wait and see lol

Man im pumped. My dad is a fan of MMA from the good ol' days. He was a hardcore PRIDE fan. He grew up on boxing but Dan Henderson is the guy that made him fall in love with the sport of MMA. This will be the first time watching MMA with my dad since I was a kid, and it should be a fun one since I am a HUGE Wanderlei fan and he is a HUGE Hendo fan. Im pretty excited.

I would have bet Hendo in a three rounder due to his wrestling but he's been dropped by both Feijao and Fedor and Shogun hits just as hard and his killer instinct is second to none, I think he rocks him and swarms him in the later rounds.

As long as Shogun shows up in shape I think he will finish the fight in the middle rounds.

Dan Henderson is coming into this fight on a 3-fight win streak with one of those wins getting him the SF LHW title, the other a win over a legendary PRIDE fighter, that back in the day, noone could beat, and on top of all of that, Hendo has had a very good record against Chute Boxe fighters or former Chute Boxe fighters (except one, and that's Anderson Silva) . Shogun has had problems in the past with wrestlers period, and wrestlers with good striking have been really tough for him, or fighters with a ton of heart, and let's face it, Hendo has a ton of heart. So I think it's safe to say that Henderson is coming into this fight very confident.

Shogun has avenged 3 of his 5 losses, was the youngest ever to win a PRIDE Grand Prix, Henderson has had problems with Muay Thai fighters in the past, and is suseptible to being submitted. Shogun has some very good submissions. Though he's only had one win by submission, Shogun has some very underrated BJJ. No matter which way you look at the fight, it's anybody's fight, and very tough to call who's fight it is.

At this point, I might stick with my original prediction of Henderson by decision.

Thanks FresnoMMA. It's a very tough fight to pick. This could be a 3 round war, or it could end just as quickly as both of their last fights did. Either way, I'm looking forward to this fight, and the whole card looks to be just as exciting.

Neither fighter is really known for having the best cardio, but I actually think that Hendo might have better cardio than Shogun. Unless of course it's the same Shogun that showed to fight Lyoto Machida, the first time they fought, but if it's the same Shogun that showed up to fight Forrest the first time, Mark Colemen in the second fight, and Jon Jones, then yeah, I think Hendo might have the better gas tank.

If Dan Henderson fights smart and uses his wreslting then it will be a very long night for Shogun,

I know Shogun does have pretty good subs but there is no way his BJJ is good enough to tap out Hendo.

Overall in the stand up i would say Shofun has a slight advantage but all it takes for Dan to get the win is one right hand. Not to mention Hendo has the best chin in MMA.

Dan Henderson wins this fight pretty easily.

I could see it going either way and if the motivated Shogun comes I think that he will out strike Hendo to a decision but this card is freaking stacked I don't know how you can have such a could card that would send Kampmann vs. Story out of the main event should be a highlight reel night for many of the fighters.
