However only if you live in a fantasy world does that mean Holloway vs Pettis becomes an Interim Title bout.
Just proves that stripping the 145 belt was all about the marketing arm of the UFC as opposed to them actually taking a stand for their brand and respect of the other fighters in the division.
Or perhaps they were waiting for the right time to make this annoucement and the Cormier injury forced their hand, though it is getting harder to give UFC the benefit of doubt.
