@franklin

Because you have been SO unbiased by calling anyone who respectfully disagrees with you a nuthugger.  :^)

And by the way, it's objective not subjective.

First off, Im more unbias then someone who spent literally months bashing the fighter and down playing them at every turn. Or did you miss the countless post Rapp made over course of the last 4 months bashing conor?

Secondly, I never called people who disagree with me nuthuggers, i stated diaz has the biggest nuthuggers, and that is just a fact. Which fans are more nuthuggers then Diaz's?  I really like to know, because at this point it pretty much a recognized fact. BJ Penn fans had passed there torch quite awhile back.

Thirdly, you got me there it is objective.

I find it interesting that people saying Conor should be penalized for running, yet these same people did not say the same about robbie against Condit.  I mean why does Conor get attacked, but robbie who engaged less in the 3rd round then any round from conor and spent the majority of it on his bike get the pass but conor was running?  I find it interesting. I mean if you look at the clock for two separate minutes straight robbie never throw a single punch, yet these same people who are calling for Conor to get penalized also scored that round for robbie.   Conor being held to a different standard, much?

@franklin ive heard the running argument on condit since his fight with nick diaz.  that fight would be a better argument for you.

the problem is the scoring system. people pick which sig strikes they think are harder then they give rounds to fighters.  then we have takedowns that do nothing but still wins rounds.  even knockdowns dont have any rules in mma. also point fighting happens more because landed strikes are the most important

i wish the refs had more control or even a point system where coming into that last round guys know if they are about to lose if they dont finish their opponent i wish submission were given respect.

example the 2nd round after the knockdowns big john raises a hand for points it 2-0, then diaz gets him in the corner and goes for the finish (like wrestling with the back to the mat) tries the finish and big john awards 1 or 2 if he was close to calling it.

I am not defending Rappinpap's point of view.  I could give a **** about it.  He can defend his own ramblings.  What I am more concerned with is how you, along with others, paint everyone who has a different view on how the fight should be scored in a broad stroke of being "Diaz nuthuggers" and how you sound like a complete ******* ass hat when saying it.  Because apparently, on this forum, we can't respectfully disagree on a result. Otherwise, we are all a bunch of "butthurt nuthuggers".

My opinions are not right nor wrong and if they bother you, then that is your problem. No matter what you do, your opinions will never be facts and if that bothers you, then that is your problem.One of the only people who can take others opinions (even if he disagrees), is Greenhornet. That shows he is tolerant and does not let trivial things burn him up inside. Good for him.

^ Because this forum is like any other forum on the internet. You gotta wade through ankle deep amounts of ***** sometimes. Plus, honestly no one really gives a **** about the votes/thumbs or whatever. It's a silly little "feel good" option that makes a few people feel some slight form of power by downing everything. At least it keeps them from typing **** most of the time.

You got so many dislikes because you completely missed my point.

@rapp

You do understand that opinions can be wrong, right?  This idea that opinions cannot be wrong, is just not accurate. Peoples opinions are wrong all the time.  This idea that people opinion's can't be wrong, is just some ******** pc nonsense.

I am far from PC so that is a BS saying.

Yes, in my case my opinion are neither right nor wrong as they just say something that is not able to be quantified to be proven. If they were, then that would mena that someone's opinion is worth less than anyone else's.

Example.  So and so is a better fighter than another does not have any litmus test that is absolute. That is how my opinions are.

Actually that not true. For example you have had opinions that fighter X will beat fighter Y, yet Fighter Y wins, said fight. Meaning your opinion was wrong. So your opinions have been wrong, can be wrong and will continue to be wrong.

Rhino, ANY point system is a terrible idea. The bottom line is judging is an opinion and therefore subjective. Any attempt to quantify the value of a strike or a grappling move is pointless because every one is different. Better educated judges, judges with actual fighting experience, open dialogue about why scores were given, or my personal choice: doing away entirely with the round by round concept and judging fights in their entirety are the way to go. Most fights that go to decision are controversial. If they're not, the matchmakers probably didn't do a good job. That controversy is one of the great things about MMA and we should embrace it. Any attempt to limit it or do away with it by installing a point system will only create more controversy.

We educated mma nuts argue 24/7 about decision both was how are educated judges fixing the problem.  The ref can help late rounds. In my eyes attempting to finish Robbie Lawler style is 10X better then Dominic Cruz point fighting. You can give them masters degrees and it won't change a thing

Franklin your an ass clown where have not understood your love of conors every move. The truth is conor didn't fight like he talks. He knock down a guy 3 times and was too much of a ***** to attempt a finish he won by in inch. As much as I hate Nate at least he tried to finish the fight.

its refrrshing to see a thread like this, after almost a week we are still throwing **** at each other like monkeys. Tapology forums needed this.

what no one has talked about is how Conor spend 300k in a tailor made camp to fight Diaz and he barley squeezed a decision (and im doing my best to not call it a controversial decision, but I guess I just did) And Diaz came out with his same style to give Conor the fight of his life.

Im positive Diaz takes fight No 3

Conor is banking on having a bigger gas tank at LW, but im not so sure it will translate like that, but what I do thiink is that he will have a bit less power behind his punches, take it easy take a breath and read that again slowly... im not saying he wont have power but he wont be as heavy as in WW and he will miss that bit extra weight behind his punches against DIaz.

"he is going to the hospital, and im going to the after party, ha ha ha" Nate Diaz
