The fighters are weighed in and we had some manufactured drama go down at the weigh-ins for the main event.

Prelims kick off at 615pm ET on UFC Fight Pass before switching to FS1 at 8pm. As always, the main card touches down on PPV at 10pm.

Enjoy!

turns out rushing towards people with your head straight up in the air doesn't always work.
but it was a surprising result because Holly has not been much of a KO artist.

@boredoms No doubt that 2015 has been a bad year for champions. Weidman, Aldo, and RDA all still have their belts on the line next month. Lawler kicks off 2016, with Dillashaw on the next card. And all those fights are legitimately winnable for the challengers. In fact, I'll bet that at least two of those five champs do not have the belt at the end of January.

I wish thinking of picking Holm but it would have been by decision if I had done so.

@zarog  Of the three champions that are going their belt in the end of 2015, I have to say that Weidman has the best chance of defending with RDA having the worst.

Weidman has physically dominated almost every opponent he has fought, with the only exception being Demian Maia.  As good as Rockhold is, I don't see that changing.  Weidman will use his wrestling to take away Rockhold's height advantage and maul him with ground and pound.

While having a tough challenge in McGregor, Aldo is the #1 on the P4P rankings (as silly as they are) for a reason.  Since his last lost, he has gone undefeated for a solid decade with a solid resume of fighters that he has beaten such as: Cub Swanson, Urijah Faber, Mike Brown, Manny Gamburyan, Mark Hominick, Kenny Florian, Chad Mendes x2, Frankie Edgar, Ricardo Lamas, and Phil Harris.  While McGregor's unorthodox style is a daunting task for any fighter, Aldo will pull out a hard fought victory.

As for RDA, I don't know if he can repeat what he did against Anthony Pettis with Donald Cerrone.  I feel like Cerrone will keep this fight standing and use that height and reach advantage to pummel RDA in the stand up.  Sure RDA has elite ground skills that could take away that advantage, but Cerrone also has a solid ground game as well, and I think Cowboy will prevent the fight from going to the ground.  Not saying RDA can't beat Cerrone, as he has done it before and in impressive fashion.  I just think Cowboy, under Greg Jackson and Mike Winklejohn, has made the necessary adjustments to prevent a repeat of what happened in the first fight.

@GH I got Aldo through attrition. McGregor hasn't had to go deep into the rounds while fighting a quality fighter. I don't think Aldo stands within distance to be pot shotted in the body and as the fight wears on we find out that the weight cut really is too much for McGregor. Also, I feel like Aldo can determine if the fight takes place on the feet or on the mat, people forget just how solid Aldo's double-leg is.

Weidman/Rockhold is a true 50/50 for me. If you had asked me 18 months ago who wins, I would've said Weidman no doubt. Now....Not certain. If Weidman can't get Rockhold to the mat, I have a feeling he's going to be in big trouble. I'll probably be taking Rockhold, but it could either way and I have no idea how the fight ends, so I'm excited for this fight.

I'm with ya on Cerrone/RDA. I think Cerrone's knees to the body keep RDA from getting it to the mat and ultimately wind him enough that as the fight wears on, Cerrone starts lighting him up. I got Cerrone by T/KO in round 4.

Haven't posted here in months, still cannot believe what happened last night. I knew Holm had a better chance than any other Rousey opponent so far, but damn.

I'm kind of in awe of Holm right now. Not just beating Rousey, not just KOing her, but basically breaking her face and becoming the first person to be a boxing and MMA world champ...it's incredible.

I keep watching the fight and I honestly think RR has little to no chance to beat HH in a rematch....

I've watched the fight roughly 37 times. It never gets old. Gna buy the DVD. Gna buy the BluRay. Gna buy the signed Holly Holm Champions Reebok Fight Kit. Gna add Holm to my top 10 favorites, legit. She just made my dreams come true. I am forever in her debt. Holm Bless.

@Hornet,

"As for RDA, I don't know if he can repeat what he did against Anthony Pettis with Donald Cerrone"

Question is, do you think he can repeat what he did against Donald Cerrone with Donald Cerrone ... they fought, you know that right? It was 2 years ago, but both were quite a few years into their career, not sure how much you improve in the latter stages of your career. You may tweak a few things, maybe grow a bit in confidence, but Cerrone was using those same knees you talked about 2 years ago and RDA pretty much handled him.

Cerrone can most definitely win, in fact I really hope he does, but if you're going to look at what he did to someone to try and estimate how he fairs against him, I'd go with their first fight as my point of reference.
