@GreenHornet Because without the spotlight she's not gonna make the money she deserves. Look at Aldo as an example. Not a media darling, even though he is undoubtedly the most accomplished fighter there has ever been at 145 (dare I say, top 15 most accomplished in the sport), yet it is McGregor who will likely be raking in the money for their fight. I dislike what the spotlight can do to people, but at the same time the fighters that are truly deserving should be able to make the money that comes with that spotlight. I hate seeing people like Rousey and McGregor that got the money, not through accomplishment, but through personality. I don't blame them, they should obviously take advantage of any opportunity they get, it just sucks to see the most deserving go unrewarded (basically what it's like at most people's jobs where there are a small percentage of the workers who do the real work, but are not compensated nearly as well as others).

zarog's got it on all points across.

One thing that irks me about those in the spotlight is that they're usually not themselves and they're just being fake because it's what draws attention and keeps them in the spotlight.

I've updated Holm's profile photo to a photo of her with the UFC WBW title instead of the old photo of her with the boxing titles. If it's not right, please change it, but it looks much better.

@zarog Unfortunately, personality makes money. It's the ****tiest part of prizefighting, but that's what sells PPV's, Tickets, Merch, etc. At the end of the day, it's a business and, as in every business, you need a marketable product.
