Nah, I think Pearson gets the KO here. Noons "lost" because he fought sloppy. Pearson won't

Noons was Diaz-ing his way to a victory before he got screwed. Ryan Couture is an exciting fighter but he will get owned by one of the top 5 boxers in MMA in Ross Pearson.

@Anikm- I wouldn't say top five, maybe of the UFC lightweights he is, but not in MMA.

@sreimuth Alright then, enlighten me buddy. Who are the top 5 best PURE boxers in MMA?

Anderson Silva, Rampage Jackson, Junior Dos Santos, Nate Diaz (EDIT: LOL I HAD NICK INSTEAD ***) and Ross Pearson, in my opinion and not in that order.

Remember, I said pure boxers so guys who would have the most success in a boxing career, not boxing adapted for the cage (hence the lack of GSP, Dominick Cruz and Frankie Edgar).

Challange accepted...

Jorge Masvidal, Nate Diaz, Eddie Alvarez, KJ Noons, Spencer Fisher, Gilbert Melendez (and I won't count Edgar and BJ Penn)

Wow, didn't even had to go in other divisions to find 5 better boxers.

Well I was IMPLYING pure. And now I'm saying it, again. PURE.

Oh and heads up, Ross Pearson is a better boxer than Jorge Masvidal, Eddie Alvarez, Spencer Fisher, Gil Martinez and he's just as good as KJ Noons...if not better.

So UH. YOUR FACE.

How would you define "pure boxer" @Anik?

@Anik

Lol, no he really isn't. And btw Ross Pearson's boxing is addapted to the cage as well. He's more of a hybrid striker anyway, since he's a bb in Tkd and mixes strikes with kicks all the time.

Masvidal would outbox him all day son, so would Melendez, Noons and Alvarez. Get a grib...

Kinda why I'm interested in seeing what his definition of a "pure boxer" is... some people have different definitions.

All the Strikeforce fighters are getting tough match ups.

Pearson will probably beat Couture up.
