UFC Fight Night 13 Wiki
Another entry into the ever-popular Ultimate Fight Night series on Spike TV, Ultimate Fight Night 13 marked the UFC’s first trip to Denver, Colorado since 1995. In the main event, Boston lightweights Kenny Florian and Joe Lauzon clashed in a bid for East Coast bragging rights, with Florian coming out on top. In a contest of wrestlers, Gray Maynard handed future Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar his first career loss at the event, and Thiago Alves emerged as a welterweight contender by becoming the first man to finish Karo Parisyan with strikes.
Originally scheduled to air over the course of two hours, Ultimate Fight Night 13 was shown as a three-hour broadcast due to a letter-writing campaign by MMA fans to Spike TV because of the competitive match-ups on the card.
