Anyone else think that it would be a nightmare for the UFC if one of these fighters were to go on to beat GSP. Assuming Fitch doesn't stumble, he would likely be (would have to be) their first challenger, and I would bet Fitch would be the favorite to win.

If the winner can beat GSP, he can beat Fitch too.  I don't think either of them can beat GSP though.

it would be best if gsp lost. Diaz or condit would make a great champion. with surgery and such a long layoff we might never see the same gsp. when or if it happens he has my sympathies when he fights either Diaz or condit.

I agree that Condit or Diaz would make a great champion BUT, i think diaz is a little better. if you look at Diaz he's a well rounded person and is a threat on the ground, standing up, and in the clinch. I also agree that GSP will never be the same. you don't get hurt and layed off for so long and expect to come back at 100% you just dont.

I would say that anything is possible, I would argue that Tom Brady came back from that type of knee injury and I think he has been pretty much back to where he was before he got injured.

And as for this fight TEAM DIAZ ALL THE WAY!!

Yeah your right, but everyone is different. You never know what could happen. But i really hope that he's comes back at 100% so WHEN Diaz does kick his ass he has no reason to cry.

I can agree with that!!

Either way I think he will still be a tough opponent for anyone in the weight class when he does come back

i think diaz could have a strong chance to beat gsp, and this extra time to work on takedown defense isnt gonna hurt either.... but i dont think condit has the goods to stay off his back at all....look no further than his fight with rory macdonald, if rory doesnt gas in the 3rd (which gsp wont), then rory coasts to a decision victory.

Condit doesn't have good TDD his opponents hit 55% of TDs on him, but he has a very active guard and is always looking for sweeps to get back to his feet where he's dangerous.

Thats true...BJ is awesome on the ground, but he doesn't look to sweep as like Carlos does

ok...matt serra does sweep alot, if memory serves me...and HE couldnt do **** with gsp either.....gsp is, from all indications, HEAVY AS HELL on top...and he has NO PROBLEM laying on u and hitting u with short punches to negate ANY chance of a sweep....thats why he doesnt go for many subs before the 1 minute mark, doesnt wanna miss and be on his back

With Serra its probably extremely hard to sweep while getting kneed in the body over and over!

@poir420 I'm not going to sit here and say GSP sucks because he doesn't but he hasn't finnished a fight in a while. and who knows WHEN diaz beats him maby he can move up and fight Silva finally.

NOW THAT would be a good fight.

I think Silva would dominate GSP not a great fight for him, wouldn't have been good before his injury would be even worse after he comes back. Plus if he loses to Diaz theres really no reason to set up the super fight, I think a super fight between Silva and Jones would be much better

I was supposed to have a Avatar bet with live2wrestle about GSP  finishing Diaz  but that fight isn't gonna be happening. So anyone that thinks Diaz will beat Condit and wants to bet on it let me know.

WAR CONDIT!!
