Also to ducks point, I feel bad for Cody too; one of the worst fall offs in the sport. He’s so young too I have no idea what’s going wrong in his career. Maybe give him one more chance at flyweight? I feel like kkf was the worst matchup for him stylistically

Wow, what an event. Has to be instant favorite for card of the year, recency bias be damned.

9 non-fluke finishes, 2 clear one-sided decisions, 1 clear with a good back and forth narrative, and 2 really competitive ones with a consistent momentum build throughout the night.

Kinda hope Cachoeira gets matched up with Dobson for Loser Leaves Town Match rather than just cut

So were we all just underrating Kelley?, overrating Costa?, a little bit of both?

Does Minner get another fight?

Blanchfield/Maverick deserved higher placemant on the card

Even though they're both MWs who won on the same card and both remain undefeated, I don't think Muniz and Bruno Silva would or should be matched up but both appear ready for big steps up

Tai's KO really mucks up the 2nd half of the HW top 20

May we PLEASE have Cruz/Edgar now?

I thought Ige won but great fight

First off, awesome card. I have to agree recency bias aside, every fight was awesome and there were some crazy outcomes. I think you are right about Kelley and costa. Costa is really green and I think he wanted to show he was improved but switching his game plan up totally threw him off. Kelley isn’t terrible but he’s old so I really don’t see him going far, especially if he fights yanez (he don’t want that fight). I think Minner should get another fight; not sure why he took the hall fight anyways it was a nightmare matchup for him. Dustin probably fights mcgregor for a 4th time (please god no nobody wants to see this), or moves up to WW and fights Colby, Nate, or some other super star

Also an additional thought; I think if Pedro decides to go to FLW, he will be a force. Dude already has a titanium chin but imagine that power in the lower weight class?

This is the script the UFC wanted trust me. Dustin will continue to take money fights by moving up to 170, fighting Diaz Conor and maybe Usman. Do Bronxs gets to continue his reign over 155. Shoutout to all the people in the world like Michael Chandler, Gaethje and Brandon Schaub who said Dustin (whose skillset is 90% punches) has “more tools” than a chute boxe submission specialist. No one in the sport has more tools than Charles Oliveira.

The true star of the show was the Venezuelan Vixen. I’m proud of her and hurt that Amanda pulled out UFC 265 when I was in the building. I was supposed to see history live, and selfishly I will never forgive Amanda for that haha.

Oliveira now has 18 finishes in his career in the UFC, take notes other fighters. I remember Donald Cerrone getting his first TKO of his career against Oliveira, the man has come a long way and the Brazillian's are killing it right now with Oliveira's story and Glovers'.

And I feel like we should advise just the tiniest bit of caution for everyone jumping on the DoBronx wagon now. I feel like we should at least add the footnote that he got knocked down four times in the opening round and a half, and ate a lot of damage for the second fight in a row. That's not a great path to victory, also considering Gaethje will likely do the same (for at least a little while)..

Tony Ferguson used the "get beat up, then pull off some 1000 IQ move" strategy and it worked for a while. But when that rabbit stops coming out of the hat, it happens SUDDENLY. I know I'll get nothing but downvotes for throwing water on the excitement, but when the next fight is near even money I think itll be the right call.
