fig is a 33 year old flyweight who took an obscene amount of damage in his last fight. entirely possible that was his peak performance.

moreno is young and still improving, and i thought he won the last fight even prior to the point deduction (rd 1/5 clearly fig, rd 2/4 clearly moreno, round 3 felt like moreno to me at the time)

i was also drunk while watching the fight and might just be wrong so i'm not going to argue it

Not even saying that I'm confident that Fig is going to lose this however the odds should be WAY the **** closer than they are imo

On the contrary I’d say it was Moreno who took the damage, as he was holding his arm like it was broken and didn’t throw a strike in the 5th round. The only reason he escaped with a draw was a point deduction. Plus I think Figgy has hard weight cuts, so the quick turnaround was pretty ambitious and ill advised. I think Figgy has all the upside.

@erison Figgy was lucky to escape with a draw, As he  should of got more point taken away, Or got DQ as Figgy fouled Moreno countless time. Dude eye poked him on the ground countless time.If i was a ref, i would of taken more points away tbh, Because that clearly intentional . But yeah, Figgy going to win this time by cheating, Moreno is the better fighter in the first fight if you don't include the cheating but  the ref are scared to punish fighter as taking a point is huge, So it stupid not to cheat.

Also to add to your point, Moreno also have damage eye and groin

I don’t know how anyone can root for a blatant cheater like figgy. Sure he’s exciting and will Ko a mf but the second he’s in disadvantage he cheats his little ass off and I can’t get behind that. Duck is right he got lucky to be gifted a draw. Also I can’t trust a 33 year old flyweight he’s gonna lose soon be it Saturday or his next few fights.

I was straight fuming watching Figgy slide his fingers in Moreno’s eyes every single time the ref was blocked from view in order to stand up. He obviously didn’t expect to be taken down that easily.

Can’t help but think y’all are viewing Figgy from the bad guy lens he got put into ever since Benavidez led with his head and Figgy got blamed for it.

There’d be big money in betting Moreno, especially by stoppage. Y’all seem very confident. Go for it! Post the slips!

Me? I saw Moreno happy to finish the fight. It was a moral victory, but he wilted.

Figueiredo vs. Moreno II
Brandon Moreno, TKO, R4
The coefficients of course are not at all appropriate, also the forecasts of tapology members, Figueiredo is now going somewhat on the hype, which for some reason did not bring down their first fight, it will be a long, very competitive and close fight with the task of a large amount of damage to both fighters, similar to the first fight, but the main difference between them is that Deiveson is 33 years old, he is at the peak and will not jump above his head, Moreno is progressing from battle to battle by leaps and bounds, on his side anthropometry and dimensions, level of motivation, in short, now is his time, let's go Assassin Baby !!ents

I think people want to see Figgy lose more than they believe he will actually lose. He has the Jake Paul effect

Sidenote: Has Nate ever been this big of an underdog?

I think a finish is a bit ambitious. And I don't neccesarily think Figgy is a bad guy, but I've never seen him cheat like that before, and maybe it was all unintentional idk and idc. If ya ain't rubbing you ain't racing as they say. I more so lean towards Moreno for two facts 1.) The juice on him is way better than the juice on Figgy in relation to their respected chances at winning. 2.) He took Figgy down pretty much whenever he wanted to (except for one well defended takedown in the third). I can't help but think that if Figgy wasn't jamming his fingers into Moreno's eye sockets that Moreno would have convincingly won a decision from top control.

@erison I’m viewing Figgy from the bad guy lens because he literally kept sticking his finger  in Morenos eyes on the ground, nothing more blantet that that. I’m surprise how dumb MMA fan can be sometime, saying how it ok, or how it didn’t change the fight.
