Gotta start thinking real hard about betting. Screwy decision after screwy decision has wrecked parlay after parlay - not sure why I bother with tape anymore, because unless the fight is TOTALLY one-sided the judges will just do *** they want without consequence. You can double their striking output, stuff every takedown and still lose because the coke head judge was too busy dribbling over Arianny Celeste to notice a knockdown.

Facts. I was just saying the other day where tf do they get these people, how can so many people who aren’t judges be able to judge a fight better than you? They were hired based on what??

I just don’t think Cannonier is the guy to do it. Even if Izzy was checked out. Jared arguably lost to Kelvin, and was nearly knocked out by Brunson, before he weirdly just short circuited.

Rob Whittaker made him look like an amateur.

To be fair, these past few weeks have been cards that had super close fights. Tonight is basically a card full of close fights. There isn't one that isn't. You could make a case that Hall vs Muniz isn't as close, but you never know how Uriah shows up. The guy is just so inconsistent. I'm not the betting man myself, but I always tell my friends; never make any bets for the sake of betting. Only do it if you feel confident about it. Otherwise you will most likely lose money. In addition, just do it for fun so that the fights can be more exciting. Since there is something at stake. Don't do it just for the sake of making money. Especially in MMA that's a hard thing to do.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 8 of 12 Winners, 4 Perfect, 540 Points   |   Tied for 995th

Adesanya vs. Cannonier
Israel Adesanya, DEC
Izzy won’t feel threatened

Volkanovski vs. Holloway III
Alexander Volkanovski, DEC
Super close fight. But Volk has more ways to win. I like the OVER here.

Strickland vs. Pereira
Sean Strickland, DEC
Clash of styles. If Sean will wrestle, he wins. If he Bangs he loses by KO. He’s a legit psycho path so who knows what he will do.

Lawler vs. Barberena
Bryan Barberena, TKO, R2
Both are washed in their own right. I didn’t like how many shots to the face Robbie took from Nate Diaz. Any bodies fight so I’ll take the younger man. This one will be a banger.

Munhoz vs. O'Malley
Sean O'Malley, DEC
O’Malley has to avoid the leg kicks and control range. He does that and he will win by a large margin.

Riddell vs. Turner
Jalin Turner, TKO, R1
I like the “fight doesn’t go to decision” line here. Some body dies. I’m going with the size advantage and power of the tarantula.

Cerrone vs. Miller II
Jim Miller, TKO, R1
Old man fight. I like millers activity and wins lately. Who knows what we will see here?

Garry vs. Green
Gabe Green, DEC
Garry might spark this guy. But I like the grinder gave green to stay alive and win minutes and hopefully end with a 29-28 dub.

Tavares vs. Du Plessis
Dricus Du Plessis, TKO, R2
Another 50/50 fight. Tavares is game and has fought a whos who. Du is the up and comer with power and grappling. This one might not see a the judges regardless of who you are picking.

Hall vs. Muniz
André Muniz, SUB, R1
I’m heavy on the Muniz train. Take him down and dub him asap. If this goes to the third it will start tipping Uriah Halls way.

Eye vs. Barber
Maycee Barber, DEC
WMMA

Clark vs. Stoliarenko
Jessica-Rose Clark, DEC
WMMA

You ain't wrong. I would have gone to bed happier last week if I'd have stuck with just betting Shavkat and Nurmagamedov last week (particularly if Nurmagamedov did the decent thing and actually choked the m'fer). I don't play with too much cash, but I loooove getting carried away with my parlays and throwing in "locks" 😭 There's no such thing. I though Izzy vs Cannonier was a lock when I first heard about it, but now I ain't so sure. And Du Plessis smells of a parlay buster to me.

Do yourself a favor and stay far away from the Tavares vs Du Plessis fight lol. That is so even and can go either way. It's a lot closer than most people make it seem to be. If I were you, I would not even make any bets at all, but that's just me. All these fights are really, really close and could go either way. I totally get it though. It's very tempting to do it. Especially if you hear how confident some people are about their picks. I'm personally not confident in any of my picks tonight lol

All right this is my first post on this kind of thread, I've ben betting money on a LOT of fights from UFC, Bellator, PFL... over the last 3 years and I'm doing good so here are my thoughts in short.

J. Rose Clark vs J.Stoliarenko

I'm going Rose Clark on a parlay (with Muniz) at 1.62 (x 1.32 with the Muniz = 2.13 odd overall). She's a better striker, with more power, technique and volume. I'm only concerned by Stoliarenko's submission skills, but I feel Rose Clark can avoid the ground if she plays smart, which I think she will able to.

J.Eye vs M.Barber

If you ask me without any odds involved, I would go for Barber, but it's feels like a close fight. Eye has a 3.52 line. So I'll put my money on her. Her chance is to outpoint Barber on the feet. Anyway, close fight without colse odds are no brainer for me, I may lose here and there but on the long run it works (like Saibou Sy yesterday with the same thoughts process).

U.Hall vs A.Muniz

The second part of my first parlay with Rose Clark. To me Muniz is another very interesting up & comer at 185. Everybody seems to focus on Strickland and Poatan but Muniz may be the next champ. He doesn't need to score a takedown to get a SUB, he can transition from clinch really well, and with this kind of advantage on the ground it will help him with his striking. Hall didn't feel like he wanted to be there last time around though he can still be dangerous with his KO power, but odds are Muniz will win by submission, I'll only go with a win just in case it goes to the decision.

B.Tavares vs D.Du Plessis

Tough one. Du Plessis is a really solid prospect, very explosive, Tavares is a tricky veteran. I feel like Dricus needs a good start and most of the time an early finish to shine and I feel Tavares can make him work and avoid most damage to capitalize later. With a pick'em kind of odd I would probably lean toward Tavares, but with a 2.33 line, I had to go with him for sure. It's still a risky one and a very interesting fight to me.

I.Garry vs G.Green

Garry looks overrated and a little full of himself whereas Green is quite good and another overlooked guy in a tough division. To me, Green has more power, probably better wrestling. So he has his chances, it's basically all about how much progress Garry has had over his time with Samford MMA. With the odds, I had to go with Gren at 2.61, even though I have no idea who will win here. Then again, when it feels that close, I always go for the highest betting line which suits me well as I don't feel like rooting for Garry anyway.

D.Cerrone vs J.Miller

This is one of those fight where I haven't made up my mind yet. To me Miller is still getting better when we have no idea if Cerrone will show up or if we have the ghost of Cerrone instead. With that being said, I should bet on Miller but his line is at 1.54, which is too low. So I don't know if I'll put my money on this one but I would say Miller will probably win here.

J.Turner vs B.Riddell

Such a hard one. It's almost a 50/50 to me because I give the edge to Riddell on the feet but Jalin may decide to use his long arms to get Jon Jones like takedowns. The odds make me feel like I should go with Riddell but I also feel Jalin is getting better way faster than him these days. So, I don't know as Jalin is at 1.71, which is fair, but Riddell at 2.22 look good as well. I'll probably wait to decide if put money on this one, but as it stands I think Jalin is more likely to win based on new stuff he may be able to bring to the table.

S.O'Malley vs P.Munhoz

Munho at 3.32 is such a great line! Obviously his chances of losing a striking match are big, especially after losing to Cruz and even Edgar before that, but he has never been KO'ed and has good low kicks and wrestling. What I'm saying is that he has some tools to pull off the upset. On the other hand, Sean has never really been tested so I have no idea where his ceilling is. Without any bets involved I would go for Sean, with this line I'll put my money on Munhoz.

R.Lawler vs B.Barbarena

It's basically a pick'em, with the odds switching from one to the other whole week. To me it's a 50/50 fight, even though I feel Lawler has more KO power than Brown and Bryan edged a really close decision there last time around. Anyway, I want to root for Robbie so I'll put my money on him. Let's hope it will be as fun as it has the potential to be.

S.Strickland vs Poatan

First, it's so funny to read replies from more than 1 day ago. Everybody was like "yeah Sean is boring, anoying...", he really turned things around with the press conference to the point that I now feel like it's a huge win win fight for the UFC! Anyway, I really don't know what to do here as I have hard time figuring how good Sean's wrestling is compared to Poatan ever evolving takedown defense. I didn't take that long to Izzy to avoid Brunson's wrestling, and Poatan has a good team to do just that himself. Sean may not realize how much much better Poatan is in striking. I think I'll go with Perreira as I feel at one point or another Sean will try to strike, and justone big combination may shock him. But anyway, it's such an amazing bookinf from the ufc and maybe the fight I'm the most excited for tonight.

A;Volkanovski vs M.Hollway

First, Max looked really bad during the press conference. I mean, he look really angry and frustrated when he had most of his success looking like the laidback confident champ. My train of thoughts here is that even though Max made really good adjustments for the second fight, it wasn't enough. This time it's Volk who will probably adjust to what Max has done in the rematch. And with the champion 2-0 confidence, his fight IQ and all, if those choices are good, he will be able to put it on display and win. On top of that, Max didn't look that dominant during the Yair fight which will give more stuff to analyse to Volk, when Alex looked more and more solid during his last two tenure. I'll go with a second parlay with Volk and Izzy wins (1.87 overall).

I.Adesanya vs J.Cannonier

Jared could deal with Whittaker refinement, so I don't really see what he could bring to the table here. He's not really good tu cut the cage to land his power strikes or use some takedowns, so I think Izzy should win and finish him over 5 rounds.

@Crimson just watched the moreplatesmoredates video

Derek makes such a valid statement about Izzy… “so much insecurity is just reeking from this guy and it’s odd cause he’s such a hyper confident fighter who’s so dominant but just says ridiculous ****”

I think we can all agree how accurate that statement is. We all saw how insecure he got when Strickland dogged on him at the press conference. It’s sad cause the dude has zero reason to be so insecure outside the octagon
